I need nearly complete darkness in order to sleep. I can't even leave the power button for my monitor on, or else the flashing (which shines on the ceiling) will keep me awake with how annoying it is. The only light I'm okay with staying on is from my alarm clock.
I can't have any human noises when I try to sleep, it annoys the living hell out of me when I hear muffled talking from the other side of the house
Although I don't mind the hum of the furnace or my old cat's loud snoring
even though it's pretty much the only way i well ever fall asleep, i refuse to lay on my back when i first get into bed. i'll lay on my sides for an hour before i finally decide "ok this has gone on long enough zzz"
I really like the feeling of waking up and knowing that I don't have to get up yet and go back to sleep so I have my alarm clock wake me up at 6am every night.
I can't sleep without my anime pillow laying beside me.
Also I like it when it's nice and cold in my room, but my bed is nice and warm. Electric blankets are amazing. Mine only stays on for 3 hours after being turned on, so I don't have to worry about my bed catching fire while I sleep in it.
I also sleep with two fans on. My ceiling fan doesn't make a lot of noise, so I have a small desk fan that sits infront of my window.
Is it weird that I usually almost always wake up immediantly after the power goes out when it's lightning outside?
Fan and darkness = nothing will wake me up
Watch at least one episode of Lost. This has been going for years.
As a really little kid, I always put some of the blanket between my knees.
Socks off, no matter what; and it must be cold. Very cold.
Do some of you really sleep with socks on? The only thing I wear when sleeping are my underpants. I never thought that anyone would sleep differently.
closet and room door has to be shut and locked
sometimes I wake up during the night and get really paranoid for no reason, locking the doors really helps this
I put raw chicken inside of my pillow ten minutes before going to sleep. Any part will work, but I prefer the legs.
I browse Facepunch for a bit, then I start some kind of audio of my phone. It could a long Ashen's video, Retsutalk, or just about any music.
I always had trouble falling asleep. For a few months I had to take medication to help me sleep because I was literally going insane.
go to bathroom 2-3 times
and vape

My feet always get really cold if I don't wear socks in bed, so I just about always do.
I close my eyes and then imagine every single nightmarish thing that might try to get me/kill me.
AND I DON'T DO THIS ON PURPOSE.
I normally smoke a joint before I head to sleep. Always helps me and high dreams are fantastic, I wake up feeling chilled and relaxed and since I started doing it, I've started to feel a lot better.
c:
It has to be warm and I have nothing on but underwear and sometime socks. I've also got a horse plush that I cuddle because it's soft and warm. I can't sleep without it and it really bothered me when I was gone for 2 weeks during winter break because I didn't have it with me.
I also do sometimes think of cool and scary situations before I sleep to try and get interesting dreams.
Not really weird I suppose...
Lamp on.
Fan on full blast and pointed at me even in winter.
Wear nothing but my underpants.
Sleep with my head at the foot at my bed, and my feet at the head of my bed. (For some reason I CANNOT sleep properly if I actually lay in the proper positions)
Toss and turn about 20 times.
In the event of a strange noise in my room, grab the closest pillow and put it over my head and try to fall asleep as fast as possible.

I also like to listen to the Portal soundtrack on a loop.

This is one of the most relaxing pieces of ambient music I have ever heard and I do not exaggerate when I say it's one of my favorite songs from a game.[/QUOTE]
Jesus christ that's an amazing song

I always sweat when I wear socks to bed.
I can only go to sleep on my stomach. This has messed up my neck a few times before as you could imagine.
