The Suburban isn't ugly though, and a xB is pretty much a Toyota Echo.
AKA a disposable sub-20k subcompact that got inflated a bit.
Again, dude said he wanted nigh indestructible. Toyota Echo/Scion xB is not going to be indestructible, in fact you can total them in a 15MPH fender bender. They are the opposite of indestructible.
This soviet piece of shit:

Plenty of spare parts? Check.
Runs on communism? Check.
HAS A DETACHABLE CRANK STARTER? MOTHERFUCKING CHECK.

I'm looking up safety ratings and crash tests and they're all at least above normal. Where are you getting that they're abhorrently unsafe?

He never said unsafe. Just not indestructible. Most modern cars are entirely safer than older ones, but they will usually be extremely heavily damaged in even mild accidents.

The dream
Maserati Granturismo MC

pictured is the "fucking finally they decided to update" 2018 model.
One thing I don't like about the new one is that its more sporty and less grandtourer-y, but if I had the chance to get any of them I'll choose the new one. Simply because the one from this year has better interior and the interior of the one before is pretty much stuck in 2007 (to make it worse it actually looks like its stuck in 2004 when compared to other cars from 2007). But if I ever get the old version I probably give it the Liberty Walk treatment.
Not to mention in the used market these car are realistically affordable (cheaper than a brand new Ford Focus RS) (also means these things devalue like fuck but who gives a shit) and the maintenance pretty damn cheap compared to Ferrari.

I never mentioned safety. When someone says 'indestructible car' I think 'This thing can take enough of a pounding that it can drive away from something that would kill most cars'. IE: Something you can beat the everloving shit out of, something you can literally push stuff with, that you can run hard and put up wet and expect it to be ready for more the next day, that you can do this constantly for north of 20 years and still have a perfectly driveable vehicle. It isn't so much 'You can crash this thing into a 250+ year old oak tree and the tree will come off worse than the car' as it is 'You can use and abuse this thing well beyond its intended purpose and it won't let you down now, nor in 20 years'.
You're not getting that with Scion. You can get that and still get modern crash safety if you so desire, but not in a Scion.
I used that 15mph fender bender as an example. It's a low enough speed that you would walk away unscathed from it no matter what car you drove as long as it wasn't a model T, yet a durable car would survive and drive away while a fragile one would be damaged beyond use.

Ah, I see. So a car that isn't overly complicated which gives it longevity through its simplicity.
So that's pretty much one of the older jeeps then?

Jag XJ
It's pretty damn expensive here when include the import tax, but hey, it has 4 doors, comfortable interior, nice exterior. This is the perfect family car IMO.
This would be my dream car :v:

If we're talking about feasibility and within my realistic price range I'm getting a new car in a few months.
I'm gonna go for either a Mazda 6 fully loaded (2015-2016), or perhaps a Kia Forte Koup Turbo.
