• Phrases That Piss You Off More Than They Should

Just sayin' usually said like a snarky cheerleader acting high and mighty or something, it's weird, annoying, and tries planting an opinion or unrelated information as a solid fact that you have to accept like it's common knowledge and they're just reminding you
"che'brah" or "I'm so rattled" When people say these phrases i just go into music mode and escape the cruel reality.
I prefer 'haha' to 'lol' or even worse, 'LOL'
i'm a frequenter of 'LOL', when something is genuinely funny
Oppa gangnam style
Not a phrase but people misspelling a lot, no one confusing then with than and saying should of, could of, would of piss me off. I am not a grammar nazi. Hell my grammar is pretty awful, but these are easily avoidable mistakes. They don't even sound right. Every time someone says alot, allot or noone I feel like someone stabbed me.
The fact that people are actually getting pissed off over these kinds of things kinda pisses me off.
The fact that people are actually getting pissed off over these kinds of things kinda pisses me off.
the fact that you're getting pissed off at a group of people getting pissed off over these kinds of things kind of pisses me off.
the word 'hipster' Now, it has a legitimate use, and there are people who can accurately be described as hipsters, but nowadays it has become a blanket term for somebody who doesn't share the same goddamn opinion as you I live in More-South-Than-a-Motherfucker, Alabama, and I go to a high school. Luckily, I'm a senior, so I'm almost out of that sinking ship. There are Redditors FUCKING EVERYWHERE. Them and the people who go to /b/ once and call themselves internet pros. I hear the word hipster almost every fucking day. One time, we had a discussion about the word hipster in my Psychology class. It started with the teacher, who is easily one of the most qualified people at the school, talking about his son. This one girl who I know for a fact goes to Reddit called the son a hipster. So the teacher calls up his son, puts him on speakerphone, and allows the girl to call him a hipster. The teacher's son FLIPS HIS SHIT, going on a 100% correct rant about how the word hipster barely means anything anymore, and that whoever uses the fucking word nowadays is a fucking tool or a cockhandle. He ripped straight into her, it was a massacre. And I was in the back, nodding my head and trying not to die laughing. sorry for the rant, but holy shit, the word hipster just jiggles my billies something fierce
What is a hipster, then, and how do people misuse the word?
When someone says either "I'd like to see you do better" or "They still make more money than you" after criticizing something or someone you like. One of my friends says it ALL THE TIME when I criticize a move or TV show, particularly Big Bang Theory.
YOLO and SWAG, fucking stupid words, really annoying hearing kids say them a lot.
whenever someone in a game refers to someone else as "son" or "boy" implying they have complete superiority and authority just based upon age. and most of the time it's really the other way around... [editline]13th February 2013[/editline] actually in general. but it pisses me off the most when i'm in game in CSS. pretty much every time someone tried to belittle me with the use of it they were most likely much younger than I. makes me wish the bullets i aimed at them came out of their screen into their face
"feels" It sounds even more stupid when it's something like "right in the feels" or "feels on wheels". seriously
I hate it when pseudo intellectual 16 year olds use words such as "sir" in the sentences. "Good sir, you can have all my internets" "Like a sir xD" "You are a gentleman and a scholar" Sentences like this make me upset.
I just generally hate it when someone tells me to relax or calm down when I AM FUCKING CALM.
All tumblr slang.
"my / her girlfriends" when referring to a girl's friends. Just say friends, god damn it. "it's just a joke" and shit along those lines. Also, this isn't really about a phrase, but I think it fits: people playing music in certain situations, singing in certain situations, or humming. I don't know why, but I get incredibly irritated when people play music or sing in situations that some part of my brain deems 'inappropriate' or 'unofficial' or whatever. Honestly, I don't even really know what triggers it, and it pisses me off that I get so irritated, but I can't help it. I hide my irritation as best as I can, though. I think I've only let people notice a few times throughout my life.
"YOLO" It gets used way more often then it ever should.
I say "Carpe Diem" in retaliation.
"Brony" I know just about everyone here is more pissed off by the people of that title than they should be, but to me I just find the word itself really annoying, not really sure why.
"Brony" I know just about everyone here is more pissed off by the people of that title than they should be, but to me I just find the word itself really annoying, not really sure why.
Probably because everything having to do with that word and the imminent reactions following it probably just makes you want to sigh upon reading/hearing it.
When someone goes "Wooooow (insert name here)" After you do something they don't approve of Go fuck yourself. If you are going to patronize and harass me then you can at least do it creatively. Also: "Calm down, its just a game. If you are getting frustrated, turn it off" Go fuck yourself again. Excuse me for being a human being who can feel anger because something bullshit happened to me and for not immediately quitting. If a basketball player gets frustrated he doesn't just storm out of the court because that makes him a sore loser.
my fucking older sister always saying "chill" to every fucking thing i say "you're 15 you're still a fucking kid" "chill" "stop smoking pot" "chill" "why do you blast music all the time" "chill" says it to my parents to but they don't care
'I am so offended by the language you are using' Fuck off; I said 'This roundabout is shit'. It wasn't directed at you. If you don't like hearing swear words, wear ear plugs. You can't be offended by a swear word unless I use it as an adjective to describe you or something that you care about. And you sure as hell don't care about roundabouts.
"I thought everyone knew this already?" Almost every time someone says that or makes that the first post in a thread about some study or discovery, some smug cunt decides to say exactly that phrase to make it seem like a new discovery has been common knowledge forever.
Probably because everything having to do with that word and the imminent reactions following it probably just makes you want to sigh upon reading/hearing it.
It's also camp as fuck. [editline]14th February 2013[/editline] On topic, anything people rip directly from those ~crazy~ internet videos they didn't know exist until 5 seconds ago.
when someone uses "Well, you know what they say.." as either an excuse for them fucking up or to make fun of a person it is fucking annoying and I hear it all the time
It drives me nuts when people use 'addicting' when they mean 'addictive'.
It pisses me off when people complain about camping in online games or when they complain about a certain tactic/weapon. E.g: "Lol camping noob" "Lol XXXX scrub"
"Could of", "should of", and "would of". For the love of fuck, the contraction contains HAVE. Does "I of done something" sound grammatically correct compared to "I have done something"?
swag, scrub, epic, yolo, saying lol in real life
Bread and butter I have no clue why but for reasons unknown I happen to hate it.
