TTGL was alright. But praising it as the best show in the history of things is just preposterous imo
I'm sorry, but it's perfect in every point for me. The over-the-top action and comedy coupled with excellent music and voice acting is beautiful. It still manages to have serious moments that doesn't retract or break the overall goofyness of the show. It manages to revolve the entire story around the DNA Double Helix in a way that is both deep and flat as a plank and downright hilarious. To me it's found the perfect balance between a great action show, a great comedy, a great drama and a show that doesn't take itself seriously yet manages to bring serious things to the table.
Imo it was a great show, just overrated to the shitter
well yeah actually, this is probably how I would put it saying I didn't enjoy it a lot would be a flat-out lie
It begins. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/xVSAt.jpg[/img_thumb] (directed by the guy who did Guilty Crown which is really bleh, but the writer worked on Casshern Sins and Jojo so that's a plus)
Someone that doesn't absolutely adore explosions exploding other explosions? Preposterous!
TTGL was mindless fun when it needed to be, that's what I liked the most.

Does it deal with the growth of mankind and the infinite power-pool of sheer willpower? Does it's explosions explode explosions inside the explosion? My spider senses tells me no.
Didn't he direct death note as well i remember them bragging with it all the time on the GC trailers
Well we at the very least we know that it will be visually interesting and stylized nicely.
Ok, so does Getter Robo completely shit on the mecha genre and jump around on galaxies? My spider senses tells me no.
actually it dose manga wise at lest http://getterrobo.wikia.com/wiki/Getter_Emperor in Amageddon [sp] the Shin Getter splits Jupiter in half and then creates a hole in the space time continuum where they meet other versions of them selves and then they find out they have to fight in space time forever[/sp]
Definitely intriguing, but I can't say I'm convinced that it has dead-pan humor I enjoy in TTGL. Especially not looking at the mech design. And manga =/= anime so it doesn't help if it's only featured in the manga.

I just thought of something. In Psycho-Pass, she changes her clothing with a holograph projector... does that mean she's actually running around naked?
In the middle of watching this: It was recommended to me by a friend. What kind of friends do I have? What kind of anime do I watch? Dear goodness. Kind of interesting, nonetheless, considering I've watched Strike Witches, and enjoyed that thoroughly

I hate all of you so much.
Translating manga is interesting. I suck at cleaning. Anyone liked OnePunch Man? I bought volume one and 2 online because of the cool covers and it's a great manga.

I have to say, it's absolutely fantastic. [editline]asdf[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/yuJo3.jpg[/t]
I suck at cleaning.
...How?
I just tried to watch the Viewtiful Joe anime after coming across it in my searches. I am dumb for even attempting it. The first place that I found a way to watch it was on crunchyroll. I actually don't mind CR when you want to check a series out because they usually have the first episode subbed in 1080p with no advertisements. Nope. Not this time. - Dubbed (complete with terrible voice acting) - 360p - 4:3 aspect ratio it was like the embodiment of all of those really bad cartoons that aired on saturday mornings in the 90s. When i was halfway through the first episode I decided to check out who licensed this. USA Kids Warner Bros. "Oh.", was all that was said before silently closing all related tabs while vowing to forget that I even saw it in the first place. I'm not sure what I was even expecting in the first place. this mecha looked oddly familiar at least
I really enjoyed both of them, I thought they where pretty good, but there's no point arguing 'bout it/ I must just be born with shit taste then because I'm quite enjoying TTGL, mostly because it isn't serious at all. In a way it reminds me of sgt frog, ya'know because there's explosions and boobs and shit and they rarely ever do anything seriously at all.
Nah. I personally just don't like TTGL, other people can enjoy it and I won't get mad at them :v I mean heck, personally I treat Toradora! as THE perfect anime so far (for me anyways), I'm sure plenty of folks would disagree with that, and that's fine c:

I like to think chunkymonkey somehow went the route of stephen hawking and can only communicate with us via a series of angry ratings. I should feel worse about antagonizing a cripple, but eh.
