For some reason when I go full screen on MPC now, the show and the subtitles look extremely pixely. It was never like that before. This was before I reinstalled Windows. It's not too much of a problem because I don't need to watch full screen.
Or maybe I never noticed the pixels before :v:
Do you use madVR? If so, play a video, right-click -> Filter -> madVR -> Edit Settings
Close the small window and resume the video if you paused, then change the scaling algorithms and apply until you get a good image.

I am not, I don't have any extensions.
I am not, I don't have any extensions.
Options -> Playback -> Output (or something along those lines)
Set DirectShowVideo to something that has better resizing or activates the Resizer option, then change that one to a better algorithm if possible.
MadVR is probably a lot better though.
Do you use madVR?
So I got madVR; it fixed everything. It took a while to get the subtitles working. Thanks for your help.
Is it normal for subs to look a bit out of focus?

If you were using an external filter like xy-vsfilter then yes, because they'd be rendered before the image is scaled to screen resolution.
Try setting Options -> Subtitles -> Maximum Texture Resolution to Desktop, that should ensure sharp subtitles with the internal renderer.
I had issues with flickering karaoke subtitles (with particle effects) and prefer matching sharpness, so I use xy-vsfilter.
Strike Witches Movie.. Why the fuck is there an [sp]ICEBERG in the oceans of AFRICA?[/sp] Yep, I can see that PhD in Climate and Meteorology is definitely paying off.

[sp] They were near the south cape and massive icebergs breaking off from antartica is quite common [/sp]
Shinsekai Yori's story is pretty great. If it continues to increase in quality like it has been, then it will most likely end up as one of my favorite anime of all time.
Half of the story hasn't even aired; how far down does this rabbit hole go?
If that's not working, then I'd try disabling VobSub, and going through MPC's internal subtitle renderer (don't worry, this won't affect fonts or anything).
Under MPC, go to Options -> External Filters -> select Direct VobSub and set it to "block" -> Go to the Subtitles main tab -> Set "Sub Pictures to Buffer" to 10, set "Maximum Texture Resolution" to Desktop, and check "Allow animation while buffering".
Subtitles are disabled after i set it to "block" so this doesn't work either.
shaft must be really busy with all the projects they are doing at the moment

Wow, Jojo ep 10. Everything seems to have improved greatly in quality. I guess they were saving their budget for part 2. It's great.
Steins;Gate is awesome. And rather confusing.
Tuturu!
EDIT: Now I'm confounded.. why would someone drink Dr Pepper? That shit is disgusting.
What are you disagreeing with? The awesome, the confusing or the fact that Dr Pepper tastes like ballsweat?
why would [sp]someone drink Dr Pepper? That shit is disgusting. You thought these were spoilers, didn't you?[/sp]
I never had Dr. Pepper. Took a big interest to it because of Steins;Gate.
Tried in in the US, loved it.
Need to go to some store here in Denmark, asked some people if it was possible to buy it in Denmark, and apparently it was, but it was in some stores I never really go to.
The taste will probably be different, though. Fructose corn syrup used for soda the US is banned in Europe iirc.
I prefer Coca-Cola over Dr. Pepper though.
Dr. Pepper over here tastes like molten cherry popsicles

no i disagreed with steins;gate being confusing. Dr. Pepper do taste like shit. (all sodas p. much do but pepper especially)
It took me a while before I started to like Dr. Pepper, love it now though

It's making more sense as I progress. The last mystery is why there are people on this forum who drink that despicable ooze.
Dr Pepper is some terrible shit, makes me sick every time
Dr. Pepper is great.
I live in the US though, so it might taste different in other countries.

Region and container can really affect taste. I only had Dr Pepper in an aluminium can. I know from my experience that Coke tends to become slightly bitter in a can and the mixture for plastic bottles is a bit more concentrate. Coke in a glass bottle doesn't get any impurities because the glass resists the acidity. Does Dr Pepper come in different containers? I might have to try some again.
Dr Pepper is tied with Mountain Dew for my favourite soft drink, I'd say that it tastes better when it's in a bottle, but it goes flat quicker than in an aluminum can, plus I can only seem to be able to find 2L bottles of the stuff over here (in Australia) and buying pallets of cans is cheaper in the long run.
Dr.Pepper makes me feel smart.

I finally understand why Australia is so fond of deporting foreigners like you...
*just kidding, I still love you*

I usually only get it in a 20oz bottle or as a "fountain drink" at restaurants/fastfood. I occasionally get it in the can, but I think it tastes the best as a fountain drink.
It's also the beverage of mad scientists. Can't go wrong with that.
