chubibuie
Just started watching The Children Who Chase Lost Voices. It's just as sickeningly over-produced as you'd expect coming from the same director as 5cm/s, but at least it isn't a weepy romance story this time. Feels a lot like Princess Mononoke with the kinds of monsters and the fantasy involving gods.
Over the past few days I watched Kemonozume, Joshiraku, and Working!!
Kemonozume was alright, though I didn't feel particularly much for it by the end.
Joshiraku was great fun and probably something I'll go back to every now and then to rewatch particular episodes of.
Working!! was a good comedy, although Inami had started to get on my nerves towards the end, probably mostly due to the fact that her androphobia plot had kind of taken over the show and it stopped being as funny as it had been in the earlier episodes of the season. It was supposed to be a drama comedy and I get that but I did miss the comedy after a while.
So I finally found another anime that my little brother likes (nichijou). He's 10, when I was his age I used to read so much manga but he's not really as into it as I am.
Anime he likes
Nichijou
loads of ghibli stuff
Robotech macross saga
boku wa whatever OVA
Anime he dislikes
TTGL
K-On

how does one like macross but not ttgl
how does one like macross but not ttgl
No idea, he watched macross a few years ago and loved it, he was probably about 6 or 7 at the time, I might get him to watch it again.
He walked out of the room after I put TTGL on, he said it looked shit. In the end we compromised that if he watched half of the first episode then he could watch as much nichijou as he liked for the rest of the day. He made it a little past half way, he seemed to enjoyed the fight scenes but just looked bored through most of the rest of it.
Oh yeah, he also hates bleach with a passion.
So many feelings in latest Chuu2.
For it's age MSG 0079 has been pretty good so far, although the rapid white screen flicker they used to show a vehicle is damaged in cockpit/bridge shots is annoying as heck. Bet that's caused a few epileptic fits over the years.

Char and Ramba Ral are the best characters
So do you think Chuunibyou will end with the eyepatch on or off?
for some reason i think on, but she won't have as bad 8th grader syndrome
lets just hope off
wow dekomori needs to get laid
You guys really seem to hate k-on and lucky star,
Quite the contrary, at least in K-ON!'s case.
wow dekomori needs to get laid
I'm willing to do that.
I'm pretty sure that if there wasn't only a single episode of Chuu-2 left, I would've dropped it after this most recent episode.
I'm pretty sure that if there wasn't only a single episode of Chuu-2 left, I would've dropped it after this most recent episode.
Why would you do that?
I think Chuu2 is great. I mean it's not the best anime ever but it does what it does well and that is giving me a raging boner for every girl in the series.
Why would you do that?
IMO it's gotten a bit too melodramatic
I much prefer its comedy

I can agree with this but only some.
Why would you do that?
It feels as though it tries to step into every genre, but never really commits to a single one besides comedy.
It's very close to having shounen battle scenes, yet doesn't feel like a shounen.
It has some vague psychological elements ([sp]battlescenes are only animated when you're looking from the viewpoint of someone with "eigth grader syndrome"[/sp]), but nothing more.
It tries to have a little romance between the two main characters, but nothing really happens (like virtually all school-based romance anime).
It has a little bit of drama, but doesn't stick to it for very long.
As I said, it commits to comedy but I just don't find it's style of comedy funny in the first place.
All-in-all this anime doesn't seem to have a focus, and tries to appeal to everybody while doing a mediocre job of it. The only redeeming quality is the visuals, and I don't watch slow-paced school anime for their visuals.
IMO it's subpar moeshit with annoying characters and great animation.
10/10 AOTY.
Oh, and they would always draw lips on the female characters whenever they were trying to make you feel for them or whatever, when they normally didn't draw them.
That was weird.
Where can I stream Chu2
