So I've only just started watching anime, mainly K-ON and Seitokai no Ichizon right now, but I wanted to watch something a little more serious so a friend recommended me Angel Beats. If anyone here has seen it, is it any good?
I wouldn't really recommend Angel Beats. It starts off as complete and utter shit, redeems it self to a "meh, was okay" level, has a couple of more shit episodes and then has a good final episode. It's retarded, doesn't care for any sort of logic, has some terrible animation in the beginning, has a really good plot going for it that is ruined by just circlejerkwanking on useless shit and causing the worlds biggest fucking plothole known to mankind just in order to make the show a show that lasts longer than 2-3 episodes. (yes, that's how severe the plothole is.) I also have a folder dedicated to it with the dumbshit it pulled off in the first 3 episodes. The only show I have such a folder for. I recommend you watch Air, Kanon (2006) and Clannad instead of Angel Beats.
So I was digging around Fast Anime ver. 23 and found this http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=837254&p=18111869&viewfull=1#post18111869 love you chunky you should come back
God, I miss those kind of quarrels.
Alright, so I think I need some Japanese cultural nuances explained to me. Sakura-sō no Pet na Kanojo, why was it such a big deal that the two male characters were pouring drinks for each other? It was annoying how she made such a big deal out of it. Same thing with a couple of other instances that I can't recall at the moment, but seriously.
Are you completely unable to read? Not to mention that after that she grabs hold of him and takes him with her to face Mashiro to continue playing the game with her. It's obvious that the drinking had nothing to do with why she butted in, also she is a overly eccentric person that makes a deal out of everything for fun, how have you not grasped that yet? [editline]10th November 2012[/editline]
Well, as I said, K-ON and Seitokai are the only shows I've watched so far and liked, I also tried death note and high school of the dead and disliked both of them. I've been a fan of studio ghibli films, mainly Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away, so I guess I enjoy fantasy. So I really want some recommendations for slice of life, and fantasy.
For slice of life: Aria Hidamari Sketch Genshiken Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World Azumanga Daioh Bartender Kowarekake no Orgel
While waiting for new episodes to be subbed, somehow I managed to get this, I don't even know how to play that much [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/syRod.png[/img_thumb]
Your name would suggest you've poured sake for someone?
only4u bbgurl Careful, I might shitpost too hard
Lucky Star? yeah no don't even touch that shit
I dunno. I enjoyed it, less for it being Slice of Life but rather for Pop culture references.
Finally started watching Azumanga Daioh I've been missing out

Also consider getting a MAL whenever you can.
dat SAO battle [editline]10th November 2012[/editline] [sp]no kirito, you are the monsters and then kirito was gleam eyes[/sp]
so the nisemono BDs were finally released by coalgirls too bad they didn't put as much effort into their styling as utw did in their first episode [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/HXWQ8.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/AlCrd.jpg[/thumb]
I want to check out Working!! but I can only find the complete thing subbed by DeadFish, and I'm wondering if they're any good?
I want to check out Working!! but I can only find the complete thing subbed by DeadFish, and I'm wondering if they're any good?
Go with FFFpeeps or m.3.3.w, they're both fine. Choose one and go with it
Just use m.3.3.w Fansubs for both seasons.
What's the difference between regular m.3.3.w and YuS-m.3.3.w?
I want to check out Working!! but I can only find the complete thing subbed by DeadFish, and I'm wondering if they're any good?
deadfish is just an encode group, they used m.3.3.w subs so it should be okay if .mp4 is okay with you

I really enjoyed it though, more so than any anime since, I felt in touch with the characters, I could relate to them, and more surprisingly I was bothered by them. I felt sad when I watched it, I mean christ I cried at the ending, I cried more at those 12(?) episodes than all of clannad. Yeah, it isn't perfect, but it is by far the most interesting anime I have ever seen (yes, I think its better than steins;gate, sue me) I wanted to keep watching it, I didn't want to stop. I think I watched all of them in one sitting, or maybe 2. I mean you may be right, in a few years I may watch it again and think "This is shit, why did I like this?" but now, now I love it, when it got to the end, I wanted more (mostly I wanted backstorys) but nevertheless I liked it. I recommend you watch it yourself, even if you drop it or dislike it or at the end decide it was a waste of time, because you could like it, I mean you're not going to loose anything if you try. Also dgg, can you go into a little more detail about the plothole? is it all that stuff related to [sp]any of them doing shit at school, and conveniently not disappearing at all, until later when they need to because of reasons[/sp] or something else?
cropping is hard [editline]11th November 2012[/editline] r/yiff, seriously
I threw it together as quick I could so I could keep watching

Even comes with a mahjong school / tutorial. I've been getting this habit of not Pon/Chi/Kan other persons discard. I tend to get to tenpai more slowly now but at least I can throw in a riichi.
