It is quite celebrated and considered a masterpiece but I wouldn't say it is the best. Although the soundtrack is awesome, I found a 50 minute compilation on youtube and suddenly I was motivated to do schoolwork.
EDIT: Holy shit, I just witnessed murder. One moment, Slacker was there. I press F5 and he's all covered in blood D:
episode 9 was really something else, wasn't it?
yes.
i like the other episodes too

Holy shit, my sister said the funniest thing to my brother...
"Jack, why the hell do you watch Naruto? It's just a bi-polar Bart Simpson wannabe with an emo and a skank for friends."
Excellent work. Really nailed it here.

I don't think so, personally I couldn't get into it, so in a way it's unfair for me to judge. I do plan on watching it at some point, just when I tried it didn't interest me.
There isn't really a "best anime" because everyone has different tastes, and I know I don't have a favourite anime because I don't have enough knowledge to base it upon.
On a completely un-related note, do you guys know of any good gang wars style anime. I already know of Cromarty high school or whatever it's called. I'm just interested in finding an anime about gang wars because I really enjoyed the arc in clannad with the 2 rival gangs.

It's definitely well directed and produced but it lacks that emotional attachment to be really moving. I liked the characters well enough but there isn't really that feeling (for me) of really hoping they succeed. I suppose it might be crippled from the get-go because of the general lack of story direction.

The closest I could think of to cromartie is Beelzebub, although you'll have to get past the dumb lightning gag it drives into the ground for the first 7 episodes or so.
Baccano! for 1920s style gangsters.
Durarara!! is also a fine choice.
Just finished Eureka 7. I have achieved good feels.
Fights were nice, hairlines remind me of my own, story generally okay but has some weird stuff I'd actually need to think about to figure out if it's plotholes or not (and fuck thinking).
When the Nirvash [sp]turned into its final form at the end and flew away from the Gekko on a fucking rainbow[/sp] I had to pause it to quit laughing, for whatever reason. I swear, officer, I'm not high.
Also over the course of watching this series I have no idea how many times I have questioned whether or not the people I talk to lift. It's probably been driving them nuts.
SAO 19 was nice, actually had some advancement sorta-kinda in the plot, too.

I'd go read that again, but Wanko sucks and Miyako and true routes aren't even translated.
Did the Jojo references appear yet?

haven't noticed any. They're on the trip now.

And just so you know, PVC, figma and nendoroids are never cheap anywhere.

AmiAmi is what most people use I believe.
I've heard good things about Big in Japan too.
Shipping is always really expensive unless you can find a store in Malaysia that resells figures.

Ahh thanks.
I'm just going to compare prices for now. And so far it seems like its cheaper if I buy it locally. I think I'll wait.
Robotics;Notes really picked up. I'm starting to like it even more.
Fucking Hisoka

fucking hell sword art online.
the characters are fairies; they can fly around that wall. don't tell me they're trapped when they're not.
edit: apparently the whole [sp]"not being able to fly over the mountain"[/sp] thing still holds true while you're in the mountain?? I wish they explained that a little better.

its not mentioned in the anime, but when they are underground, with the exception of imps, they are unable to fly. its mentioned somewhere in the light novel
slight spoiler-ish i don't know,
[sp]"Yes. To restore the power of flight, we would need either sunlight or moonlight. But as you can see, neither one of those is available here...The only exception is Imp players, who can fly a little bit underground..."[/sp]
its not mentioned in the anime, but when they are underground, with the exception of imps, they are unable to fly. its mentioned somewhere in the light novel
yea, the anime seems to like skipping over details that are actually kind of important to the plot so they can stuff more fanservice into the episodes.
Finished Bakemonogatari. It's not my favourite series, but it comes somewhat close.
I really like the soundtrack and style, but some parts of the story felt pretty rushed.
Edit: Hm, looks like there are 3 more episodes.
Oh god, I'd forgotten how much I love Fullmetal Alchemist, and I forgot to add more of the DVDs to my birthday list. I kinda like the novelty of owning physical copys of anime.
Also going to look into Baccano! it looks pretty badass, something about the art style and character design interests me.
