I mean cheap in comparison to other places. Malaysia so International shipping preferred?
If you can find a decent proxy buyer then that is usually cheaper than buying from import stores amiami usually has what you want though, and i've always had a phobia of ebay and dealextreme
Still gotta love how bitter sweet both endings for Zeta Gundam and Gundam ZZ are, even though ZZ ends on a more happy note
ZZ's ending was pretty sweet, but Zeta's ending was 90% bitter
the idolmaster shiny fiesta ovas are pretty damn good too bad they're psp resolution so i watched them on my phone
Started watching Full Metal Panic! not a massive fan of it, it will hopefully get better. Also started watching Baccano! and I can tell you now, the dub is was better than the original. I know you guys aren't massive fans of dubs (and that's and understatement) but it works, the dub works.
Eugh, Little Buster is so bad at trying to be dramatic. The lines are flat and generic, the voice acting is poor, way too much time is spent analyzing the situation explaining every tidbit about how things are in the thoughts of the main. It's just so try-hard dramatic. I thought episode 5 was the start of Komari's arc, but then it turns out episode 6 was the final episode for the arc... Way to fucking go there guys. We've built no fucking relation to the character, her voice is fucking awful making her hard to like and all she's done is going around smiling and being an annoying piece of shit and then suddenly we're supposed to care for her? This is worse than Ayu from Kanon (2006), that girl at least had her arc last in the show and frequently interacted with the main from the start, at least making us accustomed to her, although I still couldn't find a single reason to care for her. Unlike Fuuko from Clannad that actually worked hard for something and had a fucking personality and human traits beyond just being that annoying cheerful dipshit that she mainly was.
[editline]11th November 2012[/editline] No. They tried, but it's mediocre at best. Stop kidding yourself.
They did better than try, the did a good job, the voices suit the characters. After trying to watch the subtitled Japanese version, ignoring the fact that the font and placement of the subtitles was horrendous, I found the dub easier, and more interesting to watch. Kinda related, the only reason I knew about the dub was that VLC always plays the english voice track with no subs, how do I have it use Japanese with subs as default?

They put on an accent and then they had some sort of okay dubbing skills but their voices didn't really fit and it was just your typical awkward and bad dubbing all in all. Stop using VLC, no damn wonder your subtitles look like shit. Download CCCP or K-Lite codec pack and use MPC instead. Basically what you're saying is that you don't like to read, so since you don't have to read it's easier to know what they say and thus it makes it interesting for you because you spend your time watching the video because you aren't able to read the text so fast you don't even notice that you're reading it. [editline]11th November 2012[/editline]
read the vn if you're going to whine about them not spending enough time for each arc
Wow, good job reading there. No I said "I THOUGHT episode 5 was the start of the arc", what that means is that episode 5 wasn't actually the start of the arc, no it started before that but it didn't feel like it at all. The probably started the arc in episode 2 or 3, but they did a horrible job at conveying that. Also I don't see how the length of the VN is relevant at all, if they squish in all the arcs meaning they have very few episodes at all to make for each arc then they're doing a piss poor job at adapting it and should cut out certain arcs to make room for more episodes for the arcs that are left in. There is no damn excuse for making a bad show because "there was too much to adapt".

komari's route in the vn was real good time to watch the anime adaption [editline]11th November 2012[/editline] wow... i really hope they don't rush the other routes like this
It's definitely well directed and produced but it lacks that emotional attachment to be really moving. I liked the characters well enough but there isn't really that feeling (for me) of really hoping they succeed. I suppose it might be crippled from the get-go because of the general lack of story direction.
I don't know, I found the emotional attachments were very easily gained between the characters. I felt like shit watching the last few episodes because [sp]everyone died[/sp].
