also sakurasou is pretty damn generic by anime standards takes place in a high school: check loser MC self-insert: check 2+ girls crave the MC's dick despite the fact that he's a huge loser: check humorous misunderstandings (bonus points if they involve naked people): check+ token autism moe girl: check token tsundere: check token genki girl: check token energetic imouto: check token flirty milf: check but generic doesn't mean it's bad
if it's anywhere near the level of moeshit as K-On I'll be happy
I just finished K-On season one and I swear to god, I could almost feel my teeth erode because of how sweet and cute and moe everything is.
if it's anywhere near the level of moeshit as K-On I'll be happy
im obviously going to rewatch it with subs but based on the first ep the moeshit level was dangerously low also that fucking bird was annoying
Grave of Fireflies is supposed to be pretty sad. I've never taken the opportunity to watch it, but it's highly regarded among critics.
I can vouch for the sadness factor, I was nearly in tears for a lot of it. Started watching tonari no kaibutsu-kun last night, it was enjoyable. I love the characters, I can relate to every single one of them in at least one way. It's hard to put into words why I like almost every character and the reasons why but I do, although shizuku gets on my nerves sometimes. I really like mabo because of his[sp]graffiti habits, and zelda jokes[/sp]in a way he's the most relatable character of them all, seconded only by natsume and her[sp]internet life stuff[/sp] This request kinda leads on from the above anime, I want to know if there are any anime were the main characters get involved with gangs, drugs and graffiti and the like. I really liked durarara's gang stuff, and want to see if there are more things like that. For anyone who's seen Tokyo tribes 2, imagine that but with all of the saru, waru etc as teenagers, and none/less of the yakuza stuff. Any recommendations/feedback would be cool.
I think Macross is one of those series that works better as a movie then a show, I really liked Do You Remember Love? I felt the same way about Gurren Lagann, I know they cut some stuff out of the story but I enjoyed it more as 2 movies then a series.
so i'm on like episode 7 or 8 of Angel Beats! and it's probably the most depressing yet funny at the same time anime i've ever seen. what's even more depressing is how fucking short it is. they could have easily made it a 24 episode series and it wouldn't come close to stagnating. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] but yeah as far as "coherent" anime goes this is probably my favorite. or one of my favorites. i've seen so much i can't remember all of it. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] and incoherent anime is shit like boogiepop phantom and serial experiments lain.
Angel Beats

coherent
Haha, you serious?
clannad and kanon is the best funnysad
Haha, you serious?
yeah, pretty serious. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] it's actually fairly straightforward for something set in purgatory. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] it's not like ergo proxy or serial experiments lain where you have completely unreliable narrators and shitloads of uncertainties.
I just finished K-On season one and I swear to god, I could almost feel my teeth erode because of how sweet and cute and moe everything is.
K-On have me diabetes.
K-On have me diabetes.
You should steal them back
K-On have me diabetes.
pfft Hidimarai Sketch destroyed my nutbladder
You should steal them back
Swype is a terrible keyboard app and I should stop using it.
Here's the list for this years Young Animator Training Project 2013 http://animeost.info/20477/young-animator-training-project-2013-four-movies-announced
Once again, opinions. 'You don't like what I like; therefor you're dumb' And I rated DBZ 10/10 because I watched it a very long time ago. It was the very first anime I ever saw. It's almost nostalgic for me.
or because it feels like you dropped clannad after watching 1 episode but w/e
Okay, it's been a very long time since I last visited the thread (about like 5 or 6 months), so I need some help. I'm looking for an anime that is almost depressing, something that can strike emotion in me. I've watched a few too many pure-action and terrible slice-of-life anime's recently and they're all a bit too detached. Now this doesn't mean the anime can't have action in it, but what I'm really looking for is something gut-wrenching. Please no harems/all girls or slice-of-life, I'm way done with that for a while. [editline]1[/editline] I hope you all don't get angry at me for asking for some suggestions. Thanks. [editline]8th January 2013[/editline] I'll try to find my anime list profile, but it's going to take a bit. It has been 6 months.
I you want something that's quite sad, check out the VN Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume. It's by Key, and it's a comparatively short read.
Swype is a terrible keyboard app and I should stop using it.
Hackers Keyboard is the best keyboard At least for me it is, I do a lot of stuff over SSH but I really don't like using swype
Finished Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, ending was a cop-out, hoping for season 2 at some point, preferably when the manga is finished. Going to watch nekomonogatari now, then sakurasou no pet no kanojo
Just realized I been moving on to the next episode of Minami-ke Okaeri when I saw the credits. Apparently there is more show after the credits and I'm half-way done with this season. I hate when shows/movies do this.
Climb my mountain and mangle a girl, new episodes are out. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline]
Just realized I been moving on to the next episode of Minami-ke Okaeri when I saw the credits. Apparently there is more show after the credits. I hate when shows/movies do this.
After credits footage is the best footage. Also it's really not hard to skip through the ED and check if there is anything there before starting the next episode, you can usually see it by looking at how much time there is left on the bar. You also miss out on ED cards, and some episode previews (depending on the show, some don't even have previews) that aren't actually episode previews but funny dialogue instead.
Guess I have to go back and watch them all. No big deal I guess. Just wish I would of noticed earlier.
Guess I have to go back and watch them all. No big deal I guess. Just wish I would of noticed earlier.
They did this with C³ and I didn't notice until the very, very last episode. Had to go through every episode again to watch the ending after the credits. I've always found it hard to actually notice them, but thanks to C³ I've learned to skip to the very end once credits roll.
One time fucking Gintama had it's ending half way through the episode and I didn't realise it until 100 episodes later
So I started watching the Panzer anime because you all liked it. Are the translations supposed to have broken German in it? Or is the translation I'm watching trying to fuck with me?
So I started watching the Panzer anime because you all liked it. Are the translations supposed to have broken German in it?
You are probably using commies ubermensch subtitles, they should have a regular version to swap to if it annoys you.
Okay, cool I didn't know if all the subs were like this. It was annoying me because I understand enough Japanese to know they aren't saying "Danke" and "Wunderbar" and I don't know German beyond little phrases like that so it was getting ultra confusing to me.
