Personally, I think it was great in terms of animation, character design, soundtrack, original premise, staff and atmosphere, but the story was so awful
it's kinda sad really, it could've been a classic but all we got was the best trainwreck of 2011/2012

and some godlike OPs and EDs
So far that's what it's looking like. I love everything else but I can't make a fucking lick of sense of the story. There's so many plot-holes it's insane and I'm only five episodes in.

How do you know they're plotholes if they still have time to be filled in

it's only going to get worse with the plot holes and convenient back story
i like it but mainly for the fighting scenes and op's / ed's
I always hunger for food or popcorn when there's anime scenes of it, I dunno why.
I always crave for anime girls when I see one, is this normal?
Naruto
why
why
because the movies, unlike the main series, actually focus on what naruto is good at and aren't a convoluted mess of annoying shounen tropes and filler episodes.
They're not canon so they don't have to stick to things like "Oh, character X can't use his ~true power~ because that's going to be central to the next 15 arcs"
even as generic popcorn entertainment, they're well animated and the fight scenes are enjoyable.

tbh the BLEACH movies are also good

It's so sad because you can really tell how ambitious Production IG were trying to be. Reading about the hype prior to its airing is depressing.
Production IG started working on GC because they were concerned that their current flagship series, Ghost in the Shell, was getting old in fan's eyes so they were trying to create a new flagship for themselves. You can really tell how they took so many elements from other killer series and tried to tie it into GC.
Like with Evangelion, they were purposefully cryptic about the whole "lost christmas" incident and the crystal cancer stuff. In an attempt to copy Code Geass, they took the basic premise of a Highschooler given the "power of a king." There are many more blatant things like that, but most of them are spoilers in one way or another, though you probably already get the idea.
Now after the flop that GC was, you can tell how they're changing their strategy with the announcement of GiTS arise and putting the older episodes on Youtube so the younger crowd has easy access to it.
Just started watching Guilty Crown and so far it's pretty good. Not that far in, though, just started.
What's your guys opinions on it?
It's a highly enjoyable trainwreck.

What do you guys think of S-CRY-ed? One of my friends just reminded me of it and I remember I had fond memories of it. But that was over a decade ago.

I'll dunk you so hard Barkley will lose all his hair.
Is there ever a multi-episode plot for Cowboy Bebop? I'm on Episode 9 and most of them are pretty self-contained.

I think there's one about 3/4ths of the way through, and one at the end.

Don't forget they're also trying to get back to their cyberpunk crime-thriller roots with Psycho-Pass. Thankfully, with a proper writing and directing staff on board, P-P has been much more of a success.

They all tie together in the end, but you won't be seeing any noticeable continuous plot until much later in the series.
