On a serious note, I like Code Geass because it makes me think. In the tense situations, the protagonist is constantly thinking and as a result, I'm always hypothesising various outcomes too. Sometimes he succeeds, sometimes the foe outwits him and screws him royally. It keeps me going.

Wooo, going to watch Steins;Gate and the latest episode of SAO tonight (I tend not to watch it on the day)
Also I've noticed you guys tend to complain about who subs the episode, I don't get that, I mean I've seen some pretty terrible subs (so bad that they even published an entire ep raw) and most of the time the text would go on top of other text. But you guys swap between subs, maybe its just that I almost always stream to my iPhone and tend to have to just deal with shit like that.
just go with whatever thats popular

I stick to one fansub group for a anime unless they drop it or something (looking at you, Steins;Subs). Then in that case I fetch other subs to continue watching.

Because some subs are shit, and groups tends to have different translators so the group alone isn't always trustworthy in an of itself.
Use whatever is most uprated on Myanimelist.net or pick the one you liked the most over at Subcompare.com.
i guess im just not anime enough compared to yall

I don't really have the luxury of picking, I tend to just take what I can get. I stream anime to my iPhone through realitylapse's mobile site, they tend to just get the subbed version that's released the quickest. I do sometimes notice changes from team to team, like in bleach (yes I used to watch bleach) one sub group would call them "shinigami" and the other "Soul reapers" or something along those lines. On the subject of subs (kinda) have you ever watched the subbed version of an anime, then watched the dubbed first episode? I did with steins;gate, and I thought it was reasonably good. As I mentioned earlier with the people releasing raw footage, I just watched the anime (onegai teacher) on youtube dubbed, its pretty cool that sometimes (depending on the quality of the dub) you can swap between the 2 seamlessly.

I feel this a lot, I feel like the dumb kid at the comic shop who just wants to read spiderman, while everyone else is buying obscure and limited edition comics.

I probably won't enjoy dubs until they manage to get context right (a concept that seems to elude a good amount of dubs at times) and learn to properly pronounce Japanese names.
Because I don't recall Steins;Gate (funny you should mention it) having a character named after middle-eastern cuisine.
First you gotta delete the following:
Black Rock Shooter
Dog Days
Infinite Stratos
Kill Me Baby
Railgun
Shakugan
Then watch these:
Ano Hi Mita
Steins;Gate
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Spice and Wolf
Princess Tutu
He's always been here rating us.
Listening to my recordings of Renai Circulation and Colors and just realized how much of a fucking terrible singer I am.
Audacity really picks up on every little bit of sound you make. I have to cover my mouth and nose during pauses in the songs so my mic doesn't pick up all of my terrible, nasally breathing.
Silently rating just doesn't have the same oomph as silently judging

No, your microphone does.

Looks like you're describing every generic harem anime ever.
The only one thing that I'll give Mayo Chiki credit for is a mc that isn't completely spineless and isn't a complete pervert.

Fuck this I'm watching Oreimo
if you're expecting a better ending from oreimo you're setting yourself up for disappointment
Oreimo isn't a romance anime though, is it? Comedy/SOL anime are allowed to have weak endings :v
it's essentially a harem by the end. this is coming from someone who REALLY enjoyed oreimo.

I didn't like where the show ended either. Someone summarized the light novels on some forum, so if you want to know how the whole thing basically ends (or Google the summaries): [sp]Subaru resigns as a butler so she could date/marry Jirou who decides to become a butler in her stead.[/sp]
I genuinely like this series, even if the humor is sort of...juvenile at times. Anyone else agree with me?
Listen, I shit you not, but my siblings and I marathoned the SHIT out of the English dub.
Every episode, 1-76.
They're young, so we had to obviously stop and rest, but it is literally all we watched for days, nothing else.
Jelly Jiggler, Bobobo, Don Patch, hell, every character that shows up, had us dry-heaving because we couldn't breathe from the amount of laughing we were doing.
It has to be the most random show/manga on the planet.

I think if you like Bobobo you will like Excel Saga.
It's pretty damn funny and quite random too.
I too have laughed hysterically when I watch shows like Bobobo, Excel Saga and School Rumble
