Sends chills down my spine whenever I listen to it.
I just started Usagi drop. Glad i did. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] Feel good, that's how i'd describe it.
Anime club was surprisingly productive. The theme was school anime, so we watched some Fumoffu which is always good, Ouran (dubbed but it can't be helped), and GTO. I wanted to watch Ouran and GTO before, but I didn't really have much of a desire until they showed it today. Haruhi looks way better with long hair.

All they watch is Naruto, Bleach and High School of the Dead
the only anime club I'll ever need is the Fast Anime Club Of Anime For The Intellectual Minds Of The Club Of Anime Of Fast Anime
No anime club at my old high school. All the other anime fans did was watch Naruto. Besides, my social life would have been pretty much destroyed if I joined up :v:. I don't think the University has any people into anime, other than some creepy guys who play yugioh in the student center game room.

But now I have a headache. And a profound sense of loss that I only just found out :saddowns: isn't a thing anymore. Anime clubs suck anyway, doesn't need to be an organized thing. Just chill and watch anime with people when you get an opportunity, even if their taste is fucking terrible it's usually fun anyway because you're doing it with friends. If they're people you've just met on the basis of anime you are in for a subpar social experience. :words:
Does anyone have any comments about Hyouka? I just started it (on episode two); I have a pretty good feeling about this.
it p boreng it get slijhglty betr when it switch focuse to kyaracters instead of suk 「mysteries」
Ok, so fuck it, I just need to set off some time even though I don't really have it. Going through the votes for the new OP now. This post will be edited for the next couple of hours or so pointing out flaws in peoples votes, votes can then be changed for that specific vote I call out on or just have the votes I point out be removed. Of course, feel free to argue and prove that I'm wrong, as always I don't want the results of the list to be influenced by my personal feelings. First off: Ashxu Madoka Magica is not a supernatural show, it's purely magic, no supernatural elements to it. You've only voted for two shows in the supernatural category so I assume you just want the vote taken away? KStyleAzure Space Brothers is not a drama. It's just a slice of life show, it has some drama techniques every now and then, but that's usually only on cliffhangers and not how the show itself is. All in all it's just a slice of life sci-fi show. A drama has dramatic moments and focuses on characters put in certain situations and how they handle them. With Space brothers it's the journey of one man and his brother, and how everything just simply turns out alright for them. It's not a drama. Jinrui Wa Suitai Shimashita is fantasy, not supernatural. FalconKrunch Akira is a movie, movies can only be voted for in the movie category, thus you can't vote for it in the 20th century category. Same goes for 5 Centimeters Per Second in Drama. Paprika in Psychological. Akira in Science Fiction. Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo in Fantasy. HeroicPillow I don't accept Welcome to the NHK as slice of life. The way the romance works in the show is very fictional and it uses a lot of comedy story telling and techniques as well as showing delusions in the show. Ore no Imouto is borderline but I'll let it go since it seldom exaggerates comedic situations and keeps to realism. Fullmetal Alchemist is labeled as fantasy everywhere, so it should be voted for in the Fantasy section, not Supernatural. Explain to me in what way Hunter X Hunter (2011) is fabulous. Fruityfruit Since Clannad After Story is a second season you have to watch the first season for, I will count that vote for the first season. Same goes for the very odd vote you gave for the second season of Haruhi Suzumiya. (which I also removed from sci-fi)
all you need to watch of hyouka [editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
Ashxu Madoka Magica is not a supernatural show, it's purely magic, no supernatural elements to it.
[sp]aliens[/sp]
That's sci-fi, not supernatural. And just having one element from something and nothing else doesn't make it that thing.
it's purely magic, no supernatural elements to it.
Magic is about as supernatural as it gets.
Being away for a week and coming back to a week's worth of anime is an excellent way to wind down after a big adventure. But some many conflicting emotions, geezus. Watching Chuu-2, SAO, Code Breaker, BTOOOM!, Sakurasou, Girls und Panzer then Tonari in rapid succession makes this wierd little combo of mood swings where I feel emotionally dead at the end.
Magic is about as supernatural as it gets.
No. Supernatural is super natural. It's beasts and things sprung from nature turned up to 11. Vampires, telekinesis, super human strength any Xmen ability, that's supernatural. Magic is unexplained forces from nowhere that can make shit come from nowhere. Lightning out of your hands, transforming a person into another thing and such. Magic defies reality and the only explanation it needs is "it's magic". Superntural builds upon the real and usually has an explanation for how the mind, body or creature got it's powers, usually just by breaking human boundaries.

Magic falls under this definition. So do vampires, superheroes, etc, as far as we know. I think what you're describing is speculative fiction.

I think what you're describing is speculative fiction.
No. Supernatural and magic are two different things. Supernatural is it's own genre. Magic is a part of the fantasy genre which is a sub-genre of supernatural. They're into their own genres because they have so many different themes and the stories revolve around completely different things. You can have supernatural and fantasy in the same work of fiction, but that makes it both genres, not exclusively supernatural.
Finished Usagi drop. Yay.
I feel bad for all you guys who ended up with bleach and naruto fanboys, one of the two people I know likes anime at school does only watch naruto (and elfen lied), but the other has pretty decent taste. Yeah, he may watch bleach, but he has seen death note, lucky star, Durarara (so I recommended he watched baccano) and he recommended I watched the melancholy of Whatsername. He has ok taste imo.
C'mon, Lucky Star wasn't that great
Lucky Star was great. But it's very understandable that people hate it as well.
C'mon, Lucky Star wasn't that great
It did what it promised Cute girls doing cute things
C'mon, Lucky Star wasn't that great
I enjoyed it, and it is a pretty decent anime. It's not god tier or anything but it's still pretty good.

I rewatched the lucky star OVA recently and I didn't hate it (only bored during the mountain scene and I'm now less responsive to otaku pandering). Now that it and Azumanga Daioh are nearly more than 5 years old, will the "but it's just a clone of Azumanga Daioh" argument of why Lucky Star is bad still pop up? [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] On that note, for those of you who rewatch stuff, what are the series that still hold up really well for you guys (or perhaps are better the second time)? Mine are: TTGL The Tatami Galaxy Puella Magi Madoka Magica
