I've never had a problem with fansub releases though. Anybody know a solution? Otherwise i'll just add dgg on steam. :v:
DVD subs aren't text based, it's an image overlay.

Maybe you can fix the scaling issues with a different renderer or filter, The Tatami Galaxy DVD works relatively well with LAV Filters and MadVR.
I'm planning on making a new anime called "Squirrels und Go-Kartz"
Here, I made a preview for you.

This is just an overkill.

I guess it makes sense that they use images to display the subs, seeing as most DVD players wouldn't understand text-based subs in the first place. It's not functionality that is used very often so i'm surprised I didn't think of it sooner. It would also explain the extreme aliasing that occurs.
I'll probably just grab some .ASS and slap it in place after hiding the original.
Just started watching Chu-2, what's with the way Dekomori says desu? Is it some sort of wordplay or something?

It's supposed to sound like "death"
Just finished Serial Experiments Lain i'm wondering if Ghost Hound is worth a watch, because they have the same director.

Would go next summer, but with my current finances it doesn't really look possible.

You're confusing episodes with series which are two completely different things.

Welp, sorry. Needs more practice in English.
And google translate is a bitch.

Since we are on the topic of GuP, what subs should I use since HorribleSubs are pretty Horrible...

I think it cost me around 3000 chf (~3200$) for 2 weeks including flight.
And also I wouldn't say its worth seeing the tokyo tower. I've only seen it by passing by on train and there are really better things to see.

I would go to several places of course.

If I was going somewhere as far as japan I'd stay for quite a long time :v:

I'd prefer staying there for a month for visiting if so, but not sure if that would be quite as good as being there two weeks, going back, learn the language for a few years, come back for a month and then really be able to see/understand a lot more.

Guess that could make sense, better than learning the language for years and realising that you don't have much of a use for it suddenly
I'm learning japanese for a bit more than a year now. I didn't understand anything while I was there.
And the people there as well couldn't talk english at all.
So I was talking german to them while they were talking japanese to me :v:
It's pretty interesting with Little Busters (watching the 8th episode now) how I've seen way worse shows, yet many of those worse shows I've just facepalmed and grunted whilst watching but not necessarily wanted to drop, Little Buster on the other hand gives me these frequent drop urges.
Mainly due to the fucking voice acting and bad lines that makes me want to kill myself.
The voice actors are straight from the game, with the exception of Riki, who in the game was voiceless except for the minigames where he was voiced by someone who sounds like an old lady, so I don't have any problem with the voice acting.
But the problems lies within that Little Busters really doesn't work as an anime, there's so much to do in the game that it feels like they trying to rush to get everything in.
You're supposed to play it through several times, getting to know all the characters one at a time and notice how [sp]Rin gets more and more sociable on each playthrough[/sp].
In the game it's clear what you're going to do, you do one of the characters route and nothing else, but in the anime we instead get some messed up pacing where one episode focuses on one character, then changes focus the next episode.
But then again Clannad and Kanon both did the "eroge/galge-to-anime" adaption really well, so I don't get why they fucked up this bad.
I really understand why Key (initially) didn't want to turn LB into an anime.

Heard people saying you need like a year and a half and perhaps a bit more to kinda talk with people there.
But I guess it depends on how much effort you put into it.

Depends on the pace of learning.

If you have some background then you should be able to learn it in a summer. My friend got a scholarship to go to japan with only 2 years of high school japanese (So barely anything), came back fluent.

Thats if you're total immersion though.
I've been using Memrise to learn vocab, learning grammar on the side, plus talking to a native who helps me with my grammar and such.
I struck gold though, she's an English teacher and her English is terrible, but she knows how to teach a language so it helps a lot.
