hellsing ultimate is a silly show. but why can't i stop watching it!
Not sure if i like or dislike the act of introducing new characters and then [sp]killing them outright in the same episode.[/sp] [sp]Oh look, two random guys, they appear to be vampires too, this guy can practically teleport and this guy is just a dick. I wonder what th-oh they're dead.[/sp] Keeps it fresh though.
I just watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, that was probably the best movie I've watched this year. [sp]I felt like I was getting stabbed in the chest at a lot of parts, especially when I realized Kousuke was going to die in the train accident instead of Makoto, but the ending was so nice I feel pretty good now.[/sp]
Why do the words on the blackboard in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei change every cut
because shaft
Why do the words on the blackboard in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei change every cut it's really distracting because I have to read everything "Getting a cavity in Finland means you're held back a year in school."
Because they're awesome like that?
So is Highschool of the Dead any good? Or is it just a block of pure fan-service?
So is Highschool of the Dead any good? Or is it just a block of pure fan-service?
The second one
So is Highschool of the Dead any good? Or is it just a block of pure fan-service?
it's ok
So yeah in girls und panzer miho's older sister is no longer the ass I thought she was it more her mother now.
So is Highschool of the Dead any good? Or is it just a block of pure fan-service?
The OP was the best part of that show. Do yourself a favor and never touch it.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/lGyV8.jpg[/t] They are indeed pretty awesome
A+ typesetting. Or libass.
Ok so if I'm looking for an anime should I generally go for a dubbed one or a subbed one? I've heard a lot of people who say they watch dubbed anime calling them dumb and shit.
Almost all of the time, subs are WAY better than dubs There are exceptions though Like Steve Blum in Cowboy Bebop
The Bobobo and Cromarite dubs are good as well
Really? You're comparing Kirino to Yozora? Sena is literally an older version of Kirino with slightly bigger tits (praise Jesus) down to a T and you're picking Yozora of all people to compare her to?
the only reason i did it was because a) i like sena over yozora b) yozora and kirino are both cunts
So is Highschool of the Dead any good? Or is it just a block of pure fan-service?
Don't watch it expecting something thought-provoking and intelligent Watch it expecting good animation, well-choreographed fight scenes, and no holds barred fanservice. It's like any average popcorn entertainment summer action flick and nothing more. It's enjoyable if you have the right mindset.

What terrible animation you dare say? "Oh hey, it's going to be a battle of survival here or an intense zombie escape. LET'S FREEZE TIME AND ADD MOTION BLUR AND BLACK LINES TO THE SCENE AND JUST SKIP IT ENTIRELY"
So is Highschool of the Dead any good? Or is it just a block of pure fan-service?
Man I remember my first post in FA was in 2010 saying "high school of the dead is a pretty good zombie anime." I wasn't heard from again until 2 years later.
Holy shit, I'm sorry I asked :v: I didn't know it was that bad
If they took away the 24/7 fanservice and fixed the story. I'd actually watch Highschool of the Dead and probably enjoy it...maybe.
By the way, seeing as you guys were discussing travelling abroad and going to Japan, do you guys know anything about ESL certification? Or teaching English abroad, for that matter?
By the way, seeing as you guys were discussing travelling abroad and going to Japan, do you guys know anything about ESL certification? Or teaching English abroad, for that matter?
How old are you
How old are you
19 :v: I qualify for basically everything over there save drinking. The drinking age over there is 21, right? Seeing as MacArthur basically rebuilt and ran the place for a decade
Do you even know a thing about Japan proper [editline]4th December 2012[/editline] Assuming that you would feel the need to ask an anime thread, the answer to the original question is probably a resounding "no"
By the way, seeing as you guys were discussing travelling abroad and going to Japan, do you guys know anything about ESL certification? His English teacher, now, in Japan, graduated from our rival school. That school is only 20 minutes from mine. Our schools have been rivals for years It's really strange too.

I just think that at this point it'd be my best avenue for travelling abroad, as I am broke as shit :v:
I am broke as shit :v:
If you're broke then Japan is probably not the best place to go :v:
If you're broke then Japan is probably not the best place to go :v:
I get that, but if I'm to be teaching in the countryside (the odds of that are good as it is), I'd have low-rent housing, I'd use public transportation and I'd be paid around $3,000USD a month. That and the BigMac Index says that living expenses are...manageable, at worst.
I'm asking because you guys were talking about it earlier, not because I know nothing about Japanese culture you yonker :v:
Go to Japan. If you like it, save up money, start learning the language, go for a whole year to Japan for immersive studying, if you still like/love it and want to be there, begin with the ESL thing and such and try to teach in Japan. Really. Don't make up any plans before you actually go there and experience it yourself first. And you really have to be prepare for lifestyle change etc. Go look up on Japanese V-logs. I think gimmeflakeman has something about that subject. (Great vlogger too btw.)
