i had a dream about an awesome video game. it had 0 explicit narrative or sense of objective and it had some of the most emotionally moving music i've ever heard. the music was kinda like if the mgs4 theme of love was reimagined by hans zimmer and porter robinson after doing a lot of weed while listening to frederic chopin. the game was a 3rd person fixed camera game where the player started on a snowy summit of a mountain waking up from what i could only imagine was years of meditation to see a very abstract apparition or deity above him pointing at a black hole in a sunless sky and holding a single white spherical flame in his hand. the player takes it and the ghost disappears, then clouds start to fly into the black hole. the player has no place to go except down the mountain. there were no waypoints and the only invisible walls or barriers were visually natural an rare (trees, short cliffs, etc). after the player reaches the treeline, trees in the distance can be seen being torn out of the ground by the black hole. night falls and the only source of light is the tiny flame that the player holds. at this point a lot of psychological horror sets in as eyes and sharp teeth can be seen for a few moments before disappearing, but only behind the player. a bit of rustling in bushes and faint animal sounds can be heard off screen during this part. eventually the player comes across a cave and walks inside, the walls are filled with veins of crystals and precious metals which look really spectacular against the dim light of the flame. as the player walked deeper into the cave, it started to look more and more drab. eventually it starts forking off and becoming maze-like. cave paintings started to show up depicting plague, war, natural disaster, and eventually apocalypse by a black hole. earthquakes start randomly occurring and eventually cause the ceiling to partially collapse preventing backtracking. steam starts shooting out of cracks in the ceiling/walls/ground and heat waves can be seen. an explosion in the wall blows the players arm off and he drops the flame. after tying off a tourniquet around his arm he picks it up again and presses on. lava slowly becomes common as he continues downwards through the cave. the claustrophobia of the environment eventually subsides with emptied lava domes appearing in areas ahead. the ground starts visibly cracking as lava slowly rises out of their pools. rocks are falling from the ceiling and starting to punch holes in the floor. walking out into a massive lava dome, the floor breaks right beneath the players foot and he submerges about .25m before pulling his leg out and shaking as much of the lava he could off. somehow his leg is still there but it's covered in very gruesome burns. from this point on his walking animation is now a limp. stumbling onward he eventually walks into a huge lavadome that's pretty much pitch black due to a lack of any exposed lava. for the first time in the game the path starts inclining upwards. suddenly there's a loud crash from the lava tubes behind the player, lava starts pouring into the room forcing the player to outrun it to his best ability. several times the lava gets dangerously close as he hobbles up the path. eventually his clothes ignite and he sprints out of the room, clutching the white flame close to his chest. after running through the unlit lavatube at the end of the room, another earthquake closes the passage behind him and shakes open a hole in the ceiling letting a trickle of water pour in allowing the player to put out the fire. at this point the player is completely naked with small burns all over his body. he sits there and inaudibly cries for a while. after slowly standing up, his arms hang limply at his sides as he tries to rationalize what is even going on. then it dawns on him that the white flame is still at his chest, but embedded now. and it's noticeably brighter than it was in previous unlit areas too. this time there are no walls, no discernible features that give the player any point of reference. just walking through a seemingly infinite plain of pitch black. the camera's distance starts jumping out slightly with each cut now, eventually making the player really small on screen. then the player finally reaches a giant towering icicle. after all he went through, he just wants a drink so he tries to lick it. it doesn't work, nothing works actually until he tries melting it with the flame stuck in his chest. physically embracing the icicle instantly shows results; water pours onto the floor immediately. he starts drinking it as it pours off of the tip of the spire, and the flame grows brighter lighting up more of the room. he takes notice and embraces the ice again giving him more water. he doesn't even notice his missing arm slowly regrowing and his burns healing as he repeats the process. the icicle is now gone and the player now stands in 1m of water. he kneels to submerge his head for a moment and pops back up. the flame pulls itself and sand starts pouring out of the hole it left, again the player pays no mind to this supernatural occurrence. he follows the flame to a wall where it pushes itself through, shining light out of the hole it created like a laser. he looks through the hole for a moment before sticking his fingers in to dig it wider. after getting it wide enough to stick his head through, he does just that. on the other side is sky. just sky. blue in every direction with the white flaming orb directly ahead of him. the wall breaks dumping water in dragging the player with it. he's free falling, but not really. it's kinda difficult to describe. the hole in his chest is huge at this point, and sand is just flying out and forming into a ball on the other side of the flame. the water pouring out of the non-euclidean hole above the flame is filling the sky with big misty clouds. the player and the sand ball start spinning around the white flame in sync and the flame grows. the sand ball starts looking more and more like dirt and soil as time goes on and the man's mid-section is now completely gone leaving a pair of legs, arms, and head spewing out sand by the gallon. camera cuts to the man's eyes. he starts tearing up except the tears are sand too, and the hole is moving up his head making his jaw disappear. the flame is pretty much a small star or sun now, giving off solar flares and stuff. the sand ball is more of an earth ball, clearly made of more than just sand. it flies through a cloud and immediately starts growing green patches and pooling bits of water on its surface. camera cuts back to the players eyes, he rolls them back and closes them as the hole takes the rest of his head. his arms and legs disappear shortly after. the camera cuts back to the sun as the new earth slowly circles it. it fades to white and the game closes itself without credits.

on Street Fighter 5 Q was announced exept a minor change was his hat was made of metal.

His new super he did a massive beat down pummeling the shit out his opponent knocking them to the ground then ended it by taking his hat off and dropping it on his opponent it landed with a heavy thud.
Now I wish it was real
I played Penumbra: Black Plague last night for the first time since buying it 4 years ago, and I stopped in the first 20 minutes when I got to the first enemy. In a room prior there was a tape-deck, and in an episode (one scene) of my dream last night I walked around downtown with a tape-recorder listening to nothing, headphones in. I made a joke in skype before bed about how "hopefully I don't have fucking nightmares because of this", but I the tape-recorder must have been because of that.

Had a dream about commanding a massive tank battle, US vs USSR
The Soviets nearly had us out numbered, then all of a sudden a dragon with the head of Ronald Reagan popped out of nowhere from beyond the mountain. As it charged towards the Soviet tanks it roared at the top of it's lungs "COMMMUUUNIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSMMMMMMMM!"
I'm pretty sure you made this all up.
My bullshit detector tells me that anything that's described with more than a couple sentences is made up
I had another dream where I was in a chamber of an undisclosed location. I seen a group of cultists in a cicrle, cutting the throats of people offered for sacrifice. I took the head of one of the victims, absorbed it to teleport out of their before I was next....
There was a new superhero franchise by Marvel - the Circus People. It included The Temptress, who was a combination of Bubbles the Powerpuff Girl and Wolverine. I was in it as well, being able to switch genders at will.
A ruthless circus owner wanted to keep us hostage but my charms managed to persuade the owner to let us go.
Then, I remember being in a Welcome Squad on Facepunch. Those who welcomed 100 users a month or more, would get Gold Membership. Apparently, the mods quit the squad and most of the people who signed up used Google Translate to try to be funny to the new users. That included Masha from the sitcom Univer, for some reason.
The rest of the dream had me noclipping through some changing room and rescuing a sunlounger from the sea.
I had a dream where I was walking on an island made of plastic, it was peaceful at first but then Liberty Prime eradicated it.
Something had my dream A lot of animals had escaped from a zoo. I was trying to drive, but there were zebra and elephants everywhere, so it was tough dodging them. Some of the animals had been ripped apart by other animals. A zebra was pulling itself across the road by it's front hooves with entrails hanging out, no back legs.
I went to my mom's house and there was a very serious feeling of unease, like no one should leave the house. My mom was watching the news, said it was very dangerous, lots of lions, leopards, and other dangerous animals everywhere. But I wasn't hearing it, I had to get home to my family
And when I left my mom's house to get home, my car was some kind of scooter, like one of those mopeds drunks have to drive when they lose their license. There were car crashes all over the road and mangled bodies lay strewn about the road, I kept trying not to look at them, but every now and then I'd sneak a peek.
There were cops everywhere telling me I couldn't come the way I was going, but I was trying to sneak around them because I HAD TO GET HOME TO MY WAY
At some point a cop started following me, so I turned into a Walgreens type drug store and ran inside hoping to hide. I waited in there for a while panicking because I HAD TO GET HOME TO MY WAY . So I ran back outside, cop was gone, I started, again, trying to make my way home.
At some point it occurred to me that this was very nightmarish and I stopped and looked up at the sky and told myself I was dreaming. Then I woke up.
i had a dream that chris onstad was releasing new achewood comics regularly again

Another is classical music.....

Do you get nightmares from eating Limburger
No.
I have nightmares time to time due to a traumatic experience.
I was a North Korean prisoner, i was scared, then I was running down my street while explosions were going off in the distance.
I don't know if those correlate.

Melatonin supplements tends to give more vivid and memorable dreams, but it's entirely unnecessary if you don't need to fix a sleep schedule or something.
I wouldn't really pay for anything to specifically have more vivid dreams, it's far more fun just having fairly weird dreams than intense dreams IMO.
I dreamt that I was a female bank robber and my plan to rob a bank was to crash through the roof using my ass :V
A long plot dream that took place on a slowly falling space station (a massive futuristic city sized one). Eventually managed to board an escape ship and landed on earth, and watched the huge station plummet through the atmosphere and explode.
Woke up to find that only 30 minutes has passed since last waking up. 30 minutes that felt like hours of intricate plot in the dream.
Last night was an unsettling feverish cycle of repetition. It felt rather alien, as I was in my bedroom, I got out of bed, and I started looking around. Sometimes I would look out the window, other times I'd look down the stairs, and then something would happen that would cause me to phase back into my bed, like I'd be looking at something and my vision would cross-fade back to me laying in bed.
What really unsettled me was that I thought I saw a Grey in my dream at some point, maybe that was what was causing my "back-to-bed cross-fades"? Either way I felt somewhat reluctant to fall back asleep, but I managed to fall back into sleep and entered a much tamer dream, which on retrospect felt more like some sort of urbexing judging by the architecture.
Had the worst fucking nightmare.
I dreamed I killed someone I didn't like, then took the body to a butcher to grind up, then feed it to unwitting strangers as burgers. Then I had to live with the guilt of it, I was thinking; well I haven't commented many crimes apart from that one thing I did, god I hope that doesn't get out, it'll ruin my career. And I had to keep it from this girl I liked so she didn't think I was a monster.
Thank God I woke up.
Good thing I don't watch many horror films or Game of Thrones.
Alright, so, gather round kids, I've got a story to tell. Only reason I have all this written down is because I wrote it down almost immediately after I woke up.
It started normal, like, my parents had dropped me off at my grandparents house, or somewhere close enough that I could walk there. I went to a park or something, and night began to fall so I was like "Better get back there" At some point, it had turned out that some of my cousins had turned into sacrificial cultists or something, and were bringing people to a hill behind either my middle school or elementary school. I only found this out because I ran into some other people I knew along the way, and we knew we would get captured and taken there, so we came up with a plan to get the fuck out of there.
When we got finished, we could see the cultists coming towards us, and they decided to knock me out so they could kill me later. When I woke back up, there was a shitton of people being killed, but for some reason they hadn't restrained us. I got up and ran up the hill that was in front of me, but there was even more people being killed up there. Some dude grabbed me, but I just hit him in the balls and slid down the other side of the hill. I remember my phone sliding out of my pocket, and the dude was greedy so he just took that. When I got down to the other side, I saw my younger cousin trying to sneak away. I was going to try and help him, but I saw one of the cultists getting closer to him. I shouted "Run, [cousin's name]!" And I don't know if they killed him, or he got away, either way, I took the straight shot to the side of the school, only to run into one of my other cousins, my uncle who's a year younger than me, and, for some reason, one of my best friends. They tried tricking me, saying that they were on my side, and trying to get away too. I played along for like half a minute, before trying to run. They quickly caught up, and I asked them why they were doing this. they said something along the lines of "Because our lord wishes us to do so" I can't remember why, but they left for a little while, probably to deal with some other runners. It was at this point that I had realized how stupid I was for not going back for my phone. I tried to flag down a car, just so I could get the fuck out of there, but my friend had come back, got in front of me, slicing my arm with a knife, which was the point where I was like "This can't be a dream" because it felt SO FUCKING REAL. He must've seen something, because he told me to wait there. I looked to where he went, and I could no longer see him. I decided now would be my best time to run, but I looked back, and I saw him coming towards me with that knife in his hand. I looked around a bit, but when I looked right like the third or fourth time, I woke up, and my heart was fucking racing.
Dream 1: My girlfriend Masha and I ended up in an abandoned building full of rubble and beds. There were even beds out in the courtyard. We then sang the Power of Love while finding a bathroom. I believe that building was my old private secondary school.
Dream 2: I was told I had an 8th exam in the middle of summer. Masha and I bought a set of notebooks.
"You weren't paying attention to the lectures and I'm your girlfriend, so I'm going to help you."
I don't have a girlfriend called Masha. :v:
