What's stopping you
Is it true that you have to wake up during the right stage of sleep in order to remember dream in the first place?
Cuz probably like 80% of the time it feels like as if I didn't dream anything at all. Yet I can remember some dreams down to pretty specific details from years ago, without ever writing anything down or something.
They're just dreams after all, but some say we dream every night so it's weird. Y'all don't dream every night, right?

It's pretty much about waking up in the middle of the dream. I guess it's the REM portion of sleep when we are dreaming.
I would recommend keeping a dream journal.

Common decency

I still remember the overall theme and events of many of my dreams from years back even.
I could write them down now. I just don't see how that would help me remember/see dreams more often, which is what I'd like.
I was taking a tourist tour through some old factory buildings, I think it was a brewery, when bombs started dropping far in the distance.
One of them was big enough to cover the entire place I was in with dust while we flee'd.
I woke up after we'd ran through a nearby forrest and gotten on the first boat we could find.
No idea where the dream came from, but it's one of those moments where you gotta take a cig' while staring silent out the window.

Well once it's ingrained in your memory it's ingrained. The dream journal isn't really retroactive. It's "Woah I just woke up from a dream, I better write it down", and for that purpose it works VERY well, and you're much more likely to remember the dream later (or at least go back and read about it)
If you are VERY interested the OP has a link to a useful thread about inducing more dreams.
Thousands of years ago, me and another person were the last beings alive of a highly technological, nature-loving hippie civilization. We sent ourselves into Earth orbit on massive tree-like living ships, where we hibernated in wait for new life to evolve.
In the present day, we finally came down from space. Fun was had in controlling stuff using plants, and I also flew a jet liner and stuff like that. There was also some ancient evil that we fought and defeated in the end.
I dreamed about being in some new Super Mario game except for whatever reason the voice actor for Mario was replaced by a female voice actor trying to mimic the old one. Even worse, they recycled some of his older sounds from the previous game/voice actor, so it sounded absolutely terrible and the inconsistencies in Mario's voice were immediately obvious. :v:
Also some weird satanic cult were trying to sacrifice a goat wearing a rain jacket.
Floating around inside a room of a building then ended up flying around the city with uncontrollable speed. One heck of a strange dream.
I was in a hotel room with some family waiting for the Predator from the movie to come and kill us. We had talismans from Jackie Chan Adventures on the walls.
We hatched a plan to pull the fire alarm of the hotel and run out through the sewers, but we got caught.
Ate a burger that tasted weird woke up before i finished it
I was cleaning and barricading some elderly woman's house when a zombie managed to crawl in through the chimney. She managed to kill it with her bare fists and then promptly drove off for "a game of cribbage".
Basic fucking shit.
That "Dad" from Fallout 3 wanted me to deliver a water pipe to a Mrs Peabody. I went through some vents and ended up in an interior settlement called Jackson Paragon.
Apparently, it was a safe haven for hillbillies who were hiding from the Enclave, and one of them was Dad's brother.
He was just sleeping and smoking his cigar all day long.
Sad one for me happened a few days ago.
I was in a skype call with my friends, nothing out of the ordinary. All of a sudden another one of my friends joins. The sad part is that the friend who joined is currently in a coma with severe brain damage. When he joined he asked my friends and I if we wanted to play a game like the old times. It was as if he was the same old guy I had been buds with for a long time. In the dream his voice was so vivid and it only made me miss him even more.
I had a dream that we got Bad Reading / Bad Spelling ratings back.
I played as a WWII German infantry soldier and fought with a fire team at a small town in Normandy fighting off Allied infantry as it played out like a multiplayer video game.
Details:
- We had to secure a small war-torn manor as the Allied forces advanced to our position.
- A supply cache was spotted in the area, and the game asked to find more info on it. Then it pushed me months later into the fight?
- My squad almost shot up a friendly spy, thinking he was from the Allied forces.
- One of my teammates gave me a MP5-looking weapon; something that looked like it came straight out of Wolfenstein: The New Order.
I dreamt of World War Z style zombies. And weirdly enough it wasn't as if i was involved in it. It was like i was imagining different scenes in it and i feel that i would have made it 60x better if i directed it.
Was playing european and american baseball mixed. Didn't hit the ball but still managed to make a home run. Damn i'm good
My dreams have demon characters, should I be worried?
Don't play with a full deck
I'd be more worried if they were demons with unrealistically large tits
Could you cut it out?
Dio Brando was reincarnated as a housecat and he kept trying to [sp]stop time[/sp] but couldn't because he was a cat.
I dreamed about work. Working a lot I sometimes do that and it is a very annoying thing since you thought you accomplished so much only to realize that i'll just spend my day on facepunch instead.
I open my 3DS to play Animal Crossing and my town re-generated itself as if I started a new game. This happened every time I opened my 3DS. I feared that I had lost my year worth of progress. I looked up my problem but nobody else seemed to have this glitch. Thinking I might be able to fix this I power off my 3DS without saving so it wouldn't overwrite with a new town. I turn it back on and open the game, where I see my save was gone.
I woke up after that and immediately grabbed my 3DS to see if my save was safe. The battery died before I could save and quit, but I didn't lose much of what I did yesterday.
I was walking in Detroit and some dude shanked me for stealing his Mangoes. My fucking backpack was full of them, and I got mobbed by the residents of the project
The first thing I can remember from my dream last night was me watching a weird horse race where the horses got points each lap they were ahead but could also try jumping up on and over a giant muscular 12ft bull in the center of the track for extra points. I don't know what triggered it, but as I started to walk along a sort of park trail while watching the strange sport, I broke into lucidity. I've always heard about how the most popular thing to do is flying so I figured I'd try it out.
Flying is fun.
Then, after a while, the day turned to night and all the lights in the general area went out, putting me into pitch black darkness. I instantly awoke within a sub-dream, but having just been lucid, my mind made me think it was reality. Even though my phone was kind enough to give me a hint that it wasn't (it showed 3:30am while sunlight was peeking through the window), I still didn't catch on. In this sub-dream, I was back on a college campus moving back in, then I went to some final grading presentation where me and a bunch of students judged others while they did something onstage. After that, I've no recollection and it probably wasn't too interesting anyway.
