The Breakfast Club is a movie about five high school students stuck in a weekend detention. Allison Reynolds is a stereotypical gothic girl. She is seen wearing black clothing, having black make up and a hairstyle that is considered gothic. She is a compulsive thief and liar, which she admits to after lying about being a nymphomaniac and stealing several items belonging to other characters. This is very stereotypical for a goth as this is the expected behaviour. She is very shy in the beginning, not talking but only making squealing noises, but opens up to the others around midway through the movie. Then you can see who she truly is, she seeks attention and acceptance from the others by making up lies about her and her life. Near the end of the movie, the other girl dresses her up in non-gothic clothing and there is a very clichéd moment of a pretty face hiding behind a veil of darkness.
