The next one I'm buying records only atmospheric sounds that are otherwise inaudible to the human ear.

My favorite thing to do is give people super strange mics when they ask to borrow one to record vocals or whatever. Like give them mics they would have to tape to their face for them to work, or ones that have to be in a glass of water for example.
