They have craploads of predators. Anything that eats bugs will eat the adult ones, and fish eat the nymphs.
Their prey is you, silly.
Their habitat is anywhere with lots of water to lay eggs in, and surrounding areas.
Ultimately their purpose is to provide food for the little creatures and kill off us big creatures with diseases so we don't overpopulate and kill everything. We kinda screwed that part up tho
