Dragons dogma basically goes against RPG instincts of wanting to clear your quest log. the best thing to do is accept every single quest from notice boards as soon as possible and just have dozens of elimination and collection quests that you'll naturally finish by playing the game

Some people think Oscar is a bit of a Grouch. Honestly though, once you get to know him and how to avoid pushing his buttons, he isn't that half bad a guy. I mean, he has a freakin' Elephant and is friends with an honest to god astronaut. How many people can honestly say THAT!?

The issue with that is that some of those quests can be cancelled automatically as you progress through the game's story even though they do sometimes tell you, and other times you won't even know that certain quests are available since you need to search around.
I didn't know madeliene had an escort quest at the start of the game because I barely went back to the Cassardis inn after the thief quest, but I managed to catch her in ng+ because i wanted to play fashion dogma

still missing chest and legs for the crimson armor set and somehow i'm missing the legs and helmet of the gryphic even though its available for purchase
i'll also be damned if metal golems weren't the hardest bosses in the game because your fucking moron-ass pawns can't or much more likely WONT attack the goddamn floating talisman out of my melee reach

Crimson drops and maybe be purchased in the [sp]everfall[/sp]
Also the pawns may not have known how to fight metal golems. After fighting them they'll learn to focus on the talismans
