Skyrim - I was pretty disappointed with the story and the exploration. The story was really boring and all the areas looked the same.
Payday 2 - I have had a decent amount of fun with this game but Almir and Goldfarb are both acting like assholes and making stupid decisions for the game. The developers also only care about the criticism of one group.
I wanna say GTA Online was a disappointment for me but at the same time I don't wanna say that. I have had plenty of fun and I still continue to play it. It might be because I don't give a shit about leveling up or getting tons of money. I really just play it to do stupid shit and fun stunts. I believe GTA Online could probably be fixed with a few small changes to the economy and bad sport system to make it really fun.
assassins creed is the western metal gear, I still dont get why people hate it here

no
Guncraft
Bought it for my brother thinking it was like a similarly named phone game. Turned out to be a Minecraft clone mixed with a class based military shooter, and not in a good way. One of the main features of the game, making custom guns, is kind of disappointing on its own since it amounts to just "make a skin for one of these 5 base weapon types".
The REAL disappointment in my opinion is that you apparently can't use custom weapons in single player/offline mode unless they get approved by the community and added to the weapon roster. No, the Firing Range doesn't count. I can understand needing approval for using them online, but seriously, WHY should I need the approval of people who think its HILL-A-RIOUS to have a gun that is a tired Chuck Norris joke if I just want to use it in single player offline?
Saints Row 4
I was annoyed by Saints Row 4 for just one reason - when I had the super powers, everything else suddenly became pointless. The homies, the need to drive cars to places, all of the stuff that were necessary and sometimes added to the timepass nature of SR3 were just rendered useless in SR4.
Sure, running up buildings and stuff was fun for a little while, but after that it just got boring because of ridiculously godlike you were in the game. That having been said, I did find the campaign fairly fun, but without the ability to just fuck around as much as I would've in SR3, compared to SR3 it does suck a fair bit.
My disappointment in gaming this year was TF2's Halloween event. The map was annoying - the game made no sense, the win condition was bizarre, the premise was a bit silly and the combination of those damned spells was actually underwhelming. I thought last years was fantastic, but this was on par with the pre-patch monoculus level shit. Hell, I think this might've been the worst Halloween event in TF2 for me.
What's wrong with the new amnesia game?
Saints Row IV
After being such a massive fanboy of 2 and 3 this game really shit on my breakfast
I mean come on what a god awful lazy disappointment of a sequel, they didn't even bother to make new outfits for fuck sake, everything in the shop is ripped from 3 and all of its shitty costume packs
Maybe I could forgive it more if they actually bothered to make a new map rather than make some bullshit story about CYBER STEELPORT as an excuse to do less work
Blacklight Retribution
Luckily it's F2P.
The other game Blacklight: Tango Down is infinitely worse. Thankfully I bought it on sale for like, 2.49 as a game to do co-op in. Retribution seems like a spectacular game in comparison.
Valve made Ember Spirit have absolutely no character to himself, he would have had the potential to be a really cool guy but no, says Valve, let's make him really fucking boring.
Guild Wars 2.
The New Vegas strip in Fallout: New Vegas
Don't get me wrong, I fucking love that game to death, I've clocked over 400 hours on it.
But damn, the strip is so bland and boring. From the trailers I got the impression that it would be this big bustling city full of life and chaos, and really it was a tiny dead little area which looked really unimpressive.
What's wrong with the new amnesia game?
The fact that it called itself amnesia game. It lacked difficulty, length, puzzles, being actually fucking scary (two pig encounters, one of them is scripted? that electrig pig that I just didn't give a shit about and just ran past it?), and the story is kind of retarded IMO.
Oh and it being "steampunk" when it's a mix of magic and some weird nuclear reactor looking thing.
Mafia II.
I thought it was gonna be like GTA but set in the 50s. Nope, I got a linear cover shooter.
Unreal Tournament 3
I was more disappointed in Unreal Tournament 2004 than UT 3, the first UT was better.
My most biggest disappointment was Nexuiz (the newest one), i had a lot of the free version of the game.
Worms Reloaded, i expected so much about that game, but it's just a 360 ports.
Dust: An Elysian Tail , fun at the beginning and repetitive at the end, (and the animated character was better in jazz jackrabbit 2).
And TrackMania² stadium too.
GTA Online.
It feels like if they'd just waited for next-gen and optimised it (aside from blurry textures), and changed critical issues such as size vs. players or passive mode just disabling shooting et cetera, then it would have lived up to at least some of the hype. They forgot what made RDR and GTAIV multiplayer fun, and chose to experiment with MMO features that just don't work.
Bulletstorm
GTA's handling system. Dumbed down as fuck to appeal to people not bothering to learn how to drive.
and the story is kind of retarded IMO.
The story was pretty good actually. One of the few good points in A Machine for Pigs.
Flatout 3. Oh my god,a new FlatOut game! Oh...its not made by Bugbear. Well,it can still be good, right?
Boy,was I wrong. Horrible game.
Also,Spore didn't dissapoint me at all. I still like it.
Fallout 3 was a fucking amazing game.
Son of a bitch...
Brink
poor thing's the poster child for wasted potential
Fallout 3 was a fucking amazing game.
It is but he's talking about FLATout :v:
Amazing demolition derby racing games for PS2 that got an incredibly shit sequel by some random devs who ruined everything that made the past games good, even if you haven't played the other flatout games its a piece of shit
I regret buying it so bad
Fallout 3 was a fucking amazing game.
oh boy where's the bad reading rating when you need it?
Every time I tried to get back into New Vegas I always found myself incredibly bored several minutes in, and usually annoyed by how terrible the combat was.
bioshock infinite
What? Infinite was fucking amazing
What? Infinite was fucking amazing
I really liked the story, but Columbia wasn't as interesting as Rapture and the combat was a bit dull.

The trailer back in like 2008 or something made it look amazing, but the game itself was linear and repetitive. It got boring after 2 hours of gameplay.
I really liked the story, but Columbia wasn't as interesting as Rapture and the combat was a bit dull.
I was incredibly disappointed that they dropped the Big Daddies and all that jazz. Makes Bioshock Infinite feel more like a spiritual successor than a true sequel.
Rapture isn't even close to being exhausted, I feel.
What? Infinite was fucking amazing
It was a solid game, but as much as I liked it I simply cannot call it amazing.
It was a good game, but nothing incredible. Too many serious flaws to be anything more.
Being a fan of the previous Dungeon Siege titles, Dungeon Siege 3 was disappointing.
Also Halo 4. Seriously, 343 could't have fucked the franchise up any harder...
And this is coming from someone who beforehand would've called himself a diehard Halo fan.
