Paper Mario Sticker Star was apparently ass and removed a lot of stuff I loved about the series. Now we're not gonna get a new Paper Mario game for years and god knows if it'll be good.
GTA Online. It looked great until I actually started getting my character started.. everything went downhill from there
Heres another game in a series of 5: Soul Calibur 5. Story was a jumble-fuck and a slap in the face to the original games. Raphael is now magically Nightmare, protagonists were fucking babies that whined about everything, original characters replaced with more anime characters. The ending had me on the edge of nausea. The character creator is just for cosplay pretty much and cosplay only lighting and textures were more cartoonish than in IV. The fighting is more wooden then ever before, Guard impacting is useless, and Legendary Souls is just a bad after-thought of another fighting mode.
NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 All I get is a Burnout clone.
non-japanese shmups
All Console Gaming.
Far Cry 2. The color palette was tiring, the gun jamming, malaria, and basic travel were massive pains in the ass, the missions were mostly forgettable, and the whole game had this air of trying to be something austere, which made it's faults much less easy to forgive.
I pre ordered homefront and then there was a pc issue where you couldn't finish the tutorial.
Many racing games that add all these generic nissan skylines and other tuners, and generic super cars that all look the same. Seriously for fucks sake get some cars that are unique
Hitman apesolution
Mass Effect 2. I loved the first one. Awesome Atmosphere, tactic fights, cool dialogue system and long exploring phases. Everything felt right, there were only fights and dialogues when it made sense and most of the time you were exploring the world. Also the fights were rather "quiet" and tactical instead of pewpew point and click. And the second one kinda disappointed me. When you wanted to explore a planet or something there always suddenly were a lot of enemies. The fights were more point and click than tactical and they often felt unnecessary. This really disturbed the long exploring phases. This also somehow destroyed the atmosphere for me since it felt more like a shooter than the first Mass Effect title. Also Bioshock 2: The atmosphere just wasn't scary. And I usually get scared pretty often in games. There only were some jump scares and thats about it.
GTA IV, NFS Underground and beyond (exception is 2005 Most Wanted), Borderlands 2
NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 All I get is a Burnout clone.
Because it was made by the same guys? Diablo 3, Starcraft II (Gameplay was fine, just story-wise I guess), Spore, Skyrim, Tribes:Ascend, Crysis 2 off the top of my head. I could write about an essay of each one, but not gonna bother. [editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
I pre ordered homefront and then there was a pc issue where you couldn't finish the tutorial.
I kinda played the entire campaign for shits and giggles. [editline]27th November 2013[/editline] I'm so fucking disappointed with Blizzard story-telling since about post-WoW (Haven't played much of it). They went from one of the industry leaders in terms of story-telling to spewing out generic shit.
TF2 was a really fun game when I got in 2009, nobody really cared about hats and it was just good fun especially surfing nowadays its a piece of shit, it feels so bloated and i hate what valve made it into, a community and a marketplace that sucks so much fucking shit its unbelievable
Man TF2 back then was sooo fun.
I remember playing TF2 on the orange box on my 360 back in 2008 like crazy, when I kept hearing about the updates I kept getting hyped up for them and finally made the jump to PC, thinking it'd be much better. Boy was I wrong in every definition of the word. Though the jump to PC wasn't bad, just TF2 on PC.
What has everyone got against Tribes Ascend? (Aside from the Micro Transactions but then again it was a F2P) I had fun with it.
What has everyone got against Tribes Ascend? That, and as a result of that, server population's been going down pretty rapidly. I really don't know how they bungled what could easily have been (imo) the best F2P shooter out there so badly. They did try to make the Tribes subreddit (Tribes, with a lot of Ascend b/c newer, but general Tribes subreddit) into the official Tribes Ascend support venue though, and THAT really pissed some people off.
Ugh, its Global Agenda all over again.
And now they're moving on the Smite! (Support may or may not be dropped a month after launch)
And now they're moving on the Smite! (Support may or may not be dropped a month after launch)
Im sure all those games would be great. If Hirez didn't make them.
the strip in fallout new vegas
If they're calling it AvP they should stick to AvP, not Aliens vs Predator vs dipshits, we already have enough FPS's, I want Alien action
AvP has always been about marines though.
Most modern game is terrible, thats why im disappointed
Paper Mario Sticker Star was apparently ass and removed a lot of stuff I loved about the series.
Most modern game is terrible, thats why im disappointed
But that's like saying that modern music sucks. But there have always been bad games/music/movies. You only need to look further to find the good games.
Hitman Absolution: After blood money, i was expecting for some similar/better. But they decide to change the gameplay and the motive of the main character for the story didn't really fit with his personality.
I honestly don't know how people can rate this disagree. The whole game was incredibly out of tune and character and had a completely different (and in my opinion, inferior) style.
Borderlands for me, it seemed like a game I would absolutely adore but it bores the shit out of me Kind of unfortunate cuz it has a lot of things I think are cool but i just cannot stand it
The Stanley Parable, I don't know, it just felt Bland and uninteresting to me. P.S. [sp]The Demo was better then the actual Game IMO[/sp]
Duke Nukem Forever. I know it couldn't live up to the hype, but fucking hell, the 2001 version looks better than what we got.

But shortly after it went F2P it became too much. Basically ever since Valve stopped updating the game with their own new items, everything started to turn to shit. (Except for big-time traders I guess.)
