Acchi Kocchi
Boku no Pico
Spice and Wolf is good. I still don't fully understand the currency in that anime though.
Haha oh wow look at this guy
What? Please explain. I guess, my post was at least humorous for you.
more like try elfen lied if you want a female lead who is either naked and killing people messily or naked and mewling like a kitten basically if youre fat and gross and have a thing for outrageous amounts of fanservice and mentally retarded catgirls who piss themselves
Well, that's not what the whole anime is about...
and have a thing for outrageous amounts of fanservice
Outrageous amounts of fanservice? Ever watched Queens Blade? There's so much in it, that it's embarrasing.
Cromartie High Fist of the North Star Mad Bull 34 In that order.
What? Please explain. I guess, my post was at least humorous for you.
Those shows you recommended are pure shit and should not be watched. One Piece is an overrated outdrawn generic shounen-fight show, which just needs to end and die. Elfen lied is so ~deep~ with it's gore and tits,
Queens Blade obviously.
Persona 4 The Animation is pretty good even if you haven't played the games.
Clannad (and Air and Kanon, which are both pretty similar) Haruhi School Days Lucky Star K-On! Full Metal Panic! Bleach DRAGONBALL Angel Beats Omamori Himari (if you like samurai catgirls) Kampfer (If you like guys changing into girls in a school where all the girls are lesbian or bi) Black Rock Shooter ano natsu de matteru Full Metal Alchemist Asobi Ni Iku Yo (If you like catgirls and fanservice) Chaos Head (Psychological thing with girls with huge swords) Spice And Wolf Persona 4 I could go on like this all day
School Days whats WRONG WITH YOU
Some people love School Days, some people hate it. But it has no place in that list [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] Same with Lucky Star and K-On
Nichijou Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt TTGL
I only watched two series: Trigun plus the movie Outlaw Star (All the dubbed episodes in HD are here)
My anime list of shit to watch when introducing someone to anime: Scifi: Cowboy Bebop Outlaw Star Trigun Romance: Spice and Wolf Mind Trip: Paranoia agent School Comedy: Azumanga Daioh Fantasy: Full Metal Alchemist Shit set in Feudal Japan: Samurai Champloo Rurouni Kenshin Movies: Paprika Anything by studio Ghibli (aside from Ponyo and The Secret World of Arrietty) The girl who Leapt through time
You do realize that you just suggested the two animes that REQUIRE you to already be a GIGANTIC anime fan to enjoy AND will likely turn off new watchers if they enjoy things like plot, jokes which don't need a comprehensive understanding of Japanese culture, and character development? If you like those two, then that's your bag and I'm not going to criticize you for it since I don't fully understand (or claim to understand) the appeal of animes of that genera, you're obviously very into the Moe aesthetic, but as a new watcher of anime it made me want to claw my eyes out, and this is not an uncommon reaction judging by all the backlash I've seen on the internet. Those are animes you enjoy, not something you should recommend to people you've never met and can't gauge.
what i never suggested any show what what what
Sunabouzu is good if you don't mind breast comedy
what i never suggested any show what what what
My bad, I went into a blinding rage about some people suggesting certain anime prematurely and stupidly and I read your post wrong. I'll amend my post. The subject of animes like K-ON!, Lucky Star, Elfen Lied and The Melancholy of Hahurhi Suzumi, get me in a tizzy because people kept recommending them to me for years, trying to get me into anime, and when I watched them I recoiled in boredom or horror, basically not wanting to touch anime again. It was only after I was badgered into watching Lupin III, Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun, that I learned that not all anime is fanservicy garbage.
Haruhi isn't boring at all (unless you include the dreaded eight)
And when it's not boring, it's just annoying to watch.

Were you watching the same shows?
I recommend not watching this trash.
Since I don't know what kinda stiff the OP's into I figured I'd suggest it. Personally, I thought it was the worst series I've seen, but I know of a few people who really liked it. People have different tastes
Can't believe no one's mentioned Monster yet. Amazing series, definitely check that out.
Medabots. >:T
And when it's not boring, it's just annoying to watch.
Wouldn't say so. S'not like LS where they're talking about which end to eat a choc cone from, That's annoying. [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] Also, Afro Samurai is worth a watch [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] Detroit Metal City aswell
Lucky Star and Haruhi? Fanservicy garbage? What? Were you watching the same shows?
Fanservice comes in many forms, not just "lol tits and panty shots". Luckystar is, quite literally, one of the most fan servicey anime around, since it constantly is pandering to audience with in-jokes, references, and commentaries on anime culture itself. It does not have any purpose except to pander to those who enjoy anime as a medium, and that's fine, but it alienates those who would like to get into anime or are not into anime as much as its target audience AND it's very quiet with no action or character development (aside from "lol Kagami had lesbian dream lolololol"). In my opinion Lucky Star fails as a story, in any medium, since, well, there is none to speak of, and everything that is focused on is meant to solicit an "oh that's happened to me before" or an "Oh I get it". It felt like it was trying to capture the magic in a bottle that was "Azumanga Daioh" by copying the narrative structure of simply not having one, but failing to understand that "not having a structure" and "not having a story" are two completely different things. Instead filling it with references and in-jokes. Trying to defend Haruhi as not full of fan service is a futile task as anyone in their right minds can pull up any segment of Mikuru Asahina and Haruhi herself up from the the show and see the lesbian... I don't know what to call them since they're not attracted to each other but you know what I'm saying. And yes, I know there's more to it than that. I understand that it's a deconstruction of cheesy anime cliches in some respects, but even in doing so alienates those who are not quite that obsessed with them. Yes, I think they're both garbage. Haruhi less so, but anything that insists you not watch half of it isn't worth watching all the way through (and I unfortunately did, hating it every single second due to how obtuse the story writing is).
What the flying fuck have you been smoking and where can I get some
Haruhi molests the shit out of Mikuru every single chance she gets... I don't believe that she's actually attracted to her but I don't recall any actually romantic or physical attraction. If you don't see that then I want to know what your smoking so I can call the cops on the supplier.
Haruhi molests the shit out of Mikuru every single chance she gets...
Yeah, but maybe... just maybe they're playing to for laughs and it's not meant to be entirely serious Like the first 8 eps of Gurren Lagann
Gurren Lagann is also a stupidly fanservicy anime, but it's enjoyable because it doesn't have its head up its own ass about it. What is the point of saying "it's played for laughs"? Most fan service of that variety is played for laughs as well as titillate, it doesn't give it a free pass to say "it's not fan service". Judging by the porn you can find after a quick Google search I'm dead certain that it titillates as well!
Rosario + Vampire is a good one. Finished it yesterday.
Garu Sengen
The fuck, nobody mentioned Macross? Seriously, Macross is good, Ghost in the shell, and the movie "Sky crawlers" isn't bad either.
