Fullmetal Alchemist (I haven't seen the Brotherhood series yet but hear it is also quite good)
All episodes (except for the final one) in 720p and a crapload of subtitle choices.
Its WAY better than the original series.
Franken Fran
I love Franken Fran, but it ended on a pretty disappointing note.
On a suggestion from someone here I started watching Initial D. Its pretty awesome so far. Still want to see Jin-Roh aswell.

It wouldn't be anime without a beach episode.
Another is literally just can excuse to have a load of over the top death scenes. It was boring as hell.
Final Destination: Moe Edition

One Piece is an overrated outdrawn generic shounen-fight show, which just needs to end and die.

Cowboy Bebop
One Piece
Baccano!

I know I'm probably just being picky, but this isn't anime, It's american.
Code geass
i really recommend boku no pico, it has deep plot development and well animated action scenes, it also has amazing romance elements
If you like Kira in Death Note you will also like Code Geass and their main character.

Another wasn't really all that much horror though. It had sudden shock value and mystery, with a bit of thriller thrown in at the end.
