Yes, it does.
S1 is alright I guess, with Gonzo quality here and there but watchable, balances the comedy and the serious parts in one show.
Fumoffu is one of the best comedies I've ever seen.
The Second Raid is fully serious in contrast with Fumoffu, and the first episode feels like it has more budget than the entire S1's animation.
And the novels are definitely worth it. I started them from the beginning again, because when I first read the the last two haven't been translated. After the events of The Second Raid the plot gets more intense, there are heaps of character development and what's most important [sp]Al develops a personality of his own[/sp]. However, [sp]forget the fun and happy times. After Dancing Very Mery Christmas it's all a downwards spiral of shit going down constantly[/sp]
In that case I'll make sure to give them a read, and I totally agree it's one of the best comedys I've seen as well.
Just started Non Non Biyori, was cute and mildly funny, but their desperate attempts to convince themselves that they don't live in the sticks was kinda tragic
If you think that's tragic, wait for [sp]renge's friend moving away[/sp]
If you think that's tragic, wait for [sp]renge's friend moving away[/sp]
whats the point of mentioning that in a spoiler they're going to click anyway, bait people into spoiling themselves
non non biyori is actually a psychological tragedy thriller social commentary
uh huh, and Denki-gai is an insight into the workers-rights violations committed by media retailers.
oh wow non non biyori repeat actually will be the same time period as S1, just new stuff
why
This is actually super cool. nnbnnb pushing the envelope
This is actually super cool. nnbnnb pushing the envelope
hidamari did it first
EDIT: There's probably something that did it before hidamari but I can't think of anything off the top of my head
hidamari sketch also replays the same time period and plays it off as a second season?
hidamari sketch also replays the same time period and plays it off as a second season?
And third...and forth as well I think.
hidamari sketch also replays the same time period and plays it off as a second season?
S1 - Scattered, out of chronological order, covers first year
S2 - Scattered, out of order, covers first year
S3 - Slightly out of order, mostly chronological, covers second year.
S4 - In order, covers second year
There's a full list somewhere incl. specials and season 4, but I can't find it.
Doesn't really add a huge amount, the 3rd time I watched hidamari I did it in chronological order and it didn't really change anything since it's episodic as fuck, and they sadly dropped the scrambling in season 4 (I assume to make it flow better into the graduation special)
the fuk
i enjoyed the new episode of overlord.

Is Nagi no Asukara worth picking up? I remember trying it when it aired and lasted all of 4 episodes before dropping it, wondering if it got better.

It gets way better if you can get past the first 6 or so episodes. It's worth it.
Caught up to Kekkai Sensen. It has the feel of all the cool parts of Eureka 7 with none of the mope.
I like it.
I hope there's a S2.
Of all the shows you could compare Kekkai Sensen to, Eureka Seven?
ye tho is good show, bones can count to 2 as well so S2 is possible if nightow wills it so
They need to actually, you know, stop fucking around and finish the first season before that.
They need to actually, you know, stop fucking around and finish the first season before that.
They're waiting for a time slot big enough for the last ep to become available iirc. There's not much they can do about it.

Yeah, it's a bad comparison now I think about it. It's probably because leo reminds me a bit of the E7 main.
Charlotte: [sp]why can't we have scientists that are not evil for a change, jeez[/sp]

Umaru you are pretty fucking annoying.

The blue-haired girl is going to be the best one, I can feel it in my bones.
Those + pupils, :3, ojou-sama speak.
My god, Monster Musume is dumb as hell.
I can barely wait for the next episode already!
Is Nagi no Asukara worth picking up? I remember trying it when it aired and lasted all of 4 episodes before dropping it, wondering if it got better.
I though the story was really unique and engaging, i loved it. Once the momentum picks up it's hard to stop watching.
monster musume
In the manga, wasn't papi somewhat less loli?
Also, For a moment I could have sworn they drew snake lady with legs. Might have just been a really weird skirt design, but it sure as hell looks like legs.

If my memory serves me correctly, the anime actually makes Papi less loli.

Madhouse's Albedo is really faithful to the original light novel, if not even better. She's completely crazy. Them faces too
Today's episode of The Dangers of Demihuman Cohabitation raises the killcount from 4 to 10. Sasuga Lamia, still the most deadly.
EDIT: Now with a handy chart!

First 2 episodes of Charlotte leaves a good impression, seems like a good debut for the director, he's lucky to get to debut on a KEY work and KEY is lucky to have him doing it so far.
Two introductionary episodes with next to no fluff and padding is good no matter how you look at it, it just keeps steadily moving on.

I've given Centorea an extra point for [sp]LITERALLY BLOWING UP A TRUCK[/sp] though
