There's not going to be a series. It's just two short films. Very good ones.
Well I can vouch for Death Parade and YYY at the very least.
Death Parade was good, YYY was my AOTS Autumn 2014 because it was pretty good and because of the ridiculous degree of emotional investment I had. It really benefitted from a livewatch.
YYY is an experience that simply can't be replicated now that the series has finished airing. It'll still be good, but it's not quite the same.
I just watched Jin Roh: Wolf Brigade and yes I loved it. I just wished there was more. Those Kerberos are literally elite troops that I admit stole the spotlight in a good way. It's like seeing a movie for Godzilla. I need more.
There is more, there's StrayDog: Kerberos Panzer Cops but oh my god the acting is terrible, there's like 2 cool shots and that's it, has a nice OST though. There's one before that too, but I never was able to find it, and I'd imagine it would be worse
Me and my friend have been on an anime marathon period, so far we have watched and enjoyed : Mawaru Penguindrum, Bakemonogatari and in the middle of Ping Pong. We plan on watching Redline, Death Parade, Yuuka Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru and Now and Then Here and There.
However i'm wondering if you think these will suit our tastes? Maybe give a few opinions before we get wrapped into these shows?
Heres our lists http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Backfirenum001
http://myanimelist.net/animelist/GetYourWingz
I know theres a big recommendation list in the OP but i'm looking for something more personal. I think we are both looking for something which has emotional depth, strong characters and almost a bit of action.
Skip yuuka yuna it's absolute trash
I don't think I can honestly bother with Durarara!!x2 anymore, it's becoming a real chore and a struggle to finish it's episodes I'm just gonna drop it.
I can't really blame you, I'm up to date now but I put it on hold for a few months initially. It's a good show but lengthy as it doesn't follow one story, rather a lot of separate ones that take place in Ikebukuro.

Ok what the hell happened in Aoharu this ep, did we just skip over some filler or something because that felt like a very large timeskip.

Nice matching themes. Too bad they don't have a fuckin' link to your profiles so I had to manually enter that into the url! Thx bro! For what you've already got: Redline a good, Death Parade a good (but watch Death Billiards first, basically episode 0), haven't watched Yuuka Yuuna so I can't comment, and Now and Then Here and There is another I haven't watched so eh. You should like most of them.
Anyway after spending a short while browsing both lists in some sembalance of unison, I bring thee three other recommendations; Space Battleship Yamato 2199, Xam'd: Lost Memories, Royal Space Force: Wings of [del]Honey Mayonnaise[/del]Honneamise
Trying to jump between two different people's taste is harder than I suspected. That is all I will recommend, lest I fry my brain literally right after waking up.
Thanks a lot guys. I'll make sure to follow through then, since you guys say they're pretty good.
Also thanks Taggart for the reccomendations, I've never seen those (though, I've heard of them), so I think we'll definitely check out Wings of Honneamise next.
Sorry for my shitty first post, I do lurk though. This season has been quite weird, honestly, I'm not enjoying much other than Gakkou Gurashi. I am looking forward to next season though. One-Punch Man is gonna be mega hype.

I really dislike that mal theme. (Why use something that is more difficult to navigate and read than default one)
But that might be because i'm no fun allowed "functionality and simplicity > everything else" kind of person.

Other than that, welcome to the shitposting. You are now part of us.
And Gakkou gurashi is really good if you didn't read manga before anime. (like me)

Really? In my opinion this is the strongest summer in a while and generally a very good season.
Compared to last season this one is really good so far. I don't think forcing myself to watch 32 shows without dropping any last season helped much tho. I wanted to kill myself towards the end!
don't worry the 22 shows this season are making me want to kill myself too
only watching gate and bikini warriors this season
I am watching 12 shows with a no-drop rule
Why did I pick up Madoushi.
Also, I just finished JoJo's Bizarre adventure and I must say, an excellent anime with an unique style.
I was a bit skeptical with starting it and I was a bit skeptical when [sp] they killed off the first JoJo and Dio Brando[/sp]
I really loved Stroheim as a character and it had some of the best villains I've seen.

Your own fault when you can clearly realise it's going to be the cookie-cutter battle harem.
And since you mentioned Stroheim I can't not honour his name.

I never get how people end up watching so many shows, although I guess the fact that I cut out most moe/slice of life/comedies in that vein drastically reduces the number of shows I watch each season to 5-10.

I watch anything that looks interesting to me, and counting spring leftovers that can get to a pretty high amount, though I will not hesitate to drop anything I stop enjoying at all.
Oh and I often watch shows I normally wouldn't because my one rl weeb friend has bad taste and I want to have something to talk to him about.
only watching gate and bikini warriors this season
why u watching bikini warriors
So far God Eater is performing remarkably well as a sleeping-aid.
why u watching bikini warriors
nothing seemed better

I cut those out too
technically the count from this season is actually 17, with 5 spring runovers, but yeah
I'm only watching 3 (6 including kekkai, ore monogatari, and miss monochrome s2) so woop woop :sax:
I'm only watching 3 (6 including kekkai, ore monogatari, and miss monochrome s2) so woop woop :sax:
Tell me how that goes in a few years.
Tell me how that goes in a few years.
sure, right after I finish ideon subbed BDs and decide to read the last ep's synopsis long after I decide to drop it .
We're going to get Dragonar fully subbed before the keksen finale is released.
god eater would be a lot better if they just removed the generic main character entirely and focused on the other characters who have personality.
I am currently learning Japanese with Memrise, it seems really good.
Does anyone here have any knowledge of better online language learning programs?
