I too enjoy Charlotte.
I'm on the verge of dropping charlotte.

Like it's not bad but I just can't bring myself to care about what's happening in it, no motivation to watch it at all.

I only watched the first episode so far but I was pretty disappointed when [sp] the mc got transferred to a "magical school" at the end. Liked everything before that though.[/sp]

Would have loved to see series about mc in the first half of episode 1.
I still like Charlotte but man, it has dropped in ranking for me. The first episode was very good
Prison School is definitely one of those shows I could see myself just marathoning through with no problem.
[sp] yours truly has soiled himself.[/sp]
I thought the MC of Charlotte was just too edgy for me. Reminded me of Lelouch, only amplified with edge.

What the fuck? they're not really anything alike and there's no way he was MORE EDGY.

What does edgy even mean at this point? He's just pragmatical, he uses his powers exactly how a reasonable man would use them.

If you don't like something it's 'edgy'
Being selfish is not being edgy.
i still don't get why ryuuko from kill la kill gets called edgy really often, other than her black and red color scheme

I guess you didn't even finish first episode to say that, but i would really preferred if he stayed like that.

Because she [sp]goes emo and loses her way[/sp]

Hey, something actually happened in Working!!!
Good on you Satou!!!
Because she [sp]goes emo and loses her way[/sp]
that's just a part of her character arc though, she's not defined by that
most movies and TV shows have a second act where [sp]everything goes bad for the main character and they do some bad things, which is their low point before they climb back and complete their character arc in the third act[/sp]

That's why she's called edgy, there is no need to argue against why people call her edgy.
Thanks, Blazing transfer student. Just what I needed.

i figured it'd be a bad reason, but that's a worse reason than i expected
edgy is such a buzzword

Edgy is the biggest buzzword. Thankfully the days of applying it to anything and everything seem to have mostly passed.
Ryuuko's edgy and that's perfectly fine.
Edgy =/= Bad
It's kind of annoying that show's can't have cynical characters anymore because people bitch at them for being too edgy.

She's not edgy though.
She's not edgy though.
But she uses a sword that is ALSO a scissor.
You can't get more edge than that

An edgy character is one who is trying too hard to try to be cool and/or mature in a way that makes them the opposite, and very immature.
At its core, edge is trying to be mature and in the attempt being immature via inappropriate use of things that they associate with maturity.
None of this applies to Ryuko in the slightest. It's just because black and red and lots of sharp things and blood are typical things used to achieve edginess that people throw her into the same bin without even thinking.
Gakkou Gurashi isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It's not incredible, but it's a pretty decent show that I'm enjoying.
Or maybe it's just the painkillers.
Quick give me other mediocre shows to watch maybe painkillers is the key to enjoying anime.

That's only one edge though, even a pentagon would beat that edgyness.
Also razor blades.

But this raises the one true question:
What anime weapon has the most edge??

Her limbs are all razor-sharp. One of her special moves is hugging the enemy and cutting them.
[sp]The person herself is a pretty chill and pleasant lady though[/sp]

guts' dragonslayer has a lot of edge because of how big it is, but it's not very sharp and mostly just rips things apart instead of cutting them
So there was a Japanese festival (called Matsuri, very fitting) going on in downtown Toronto today that featured some Japanese drummers, a Yosakoi dance group, and 3 members of the idol group LinQ, Chiaki, Ami, and Sakura. They had a CD with their singe Hare Hare Parade on sale, and you could get it signed by the members. Guess what I did?
