I don't think you understand the significance of LOGICAL THINKING in matters of COLLECTIVE BENEFIT. This COUNTERPRODUCTIVE behaviour will only hamper the SYNERGY of this thread.
Well, that's one way to do it. Comfortably being a lazy ass actually requires quite some effort. Although I can't really find how people can watch stuff on their notebooks in bed because no matter what way I tried it it was not comfortable at the slightest.
i have it next to my bed and lay on my side
have you guys got any recommendations for stuff to watch while chilling out? im looking for something slightly more content-y than cute girls doing cute things, but not quite complex story level, it doesnt have to be a comedy but that would help, here's my mal so u can see all of the shows i havent finished for years
You have Mushishi on the list yet you aren't watching it despite fitting what you want.
I tried watching it a while back, but I never really got into it, that said I may give it another go in the future
Bartender.
thats a pretty decent idea actually, thanks. I started watching it before I'd ever drank, and although it was enjoyable, i felt as though I'd appreciate it more if I knew what the drinks were etc
Figured out a way to more efficiently be a lazy piece of shit. You can use Xpadder to make controllers have keyboard input. Using this I can control my computer using my feet. What I can also do however is rebind it so that the A button presses page down. This allows me to select the next episode of whatever show I am watching while staying in bed (while using MPHC at least). The parasyte live action movie was surprisingly relatively okay. Anime is way better though.
I found a thing on android that allows me to move my mouse and use my keyboard with my phone, and theres also an app that controls the volume on my tv, and I also have a headset next to my bed. I literally don't have to get out of my bed to watch anime and if it's night time I just switch over to the headset and it's amazing.
i'm enjoying punchline if only for the interesting art and absurd zero escape references i lost my shit when [sp]not-zero appeared as a fucking goon[/sp]
I had alot of things pull me in at Episode 1. Depends on what kind of show it is really. Something like Psycho Pass or Ghost in a Shell: SAC pulls me alot more in then Madoka Magica or Planetes but I enjoyed all of them even if I got into it fast or slow. Really depends on the genre, something with action is more likely to pull me personally in then something that has a slow start. But once I really get into a show, it will be binged.
Depends on what kind of show it is really. Something like Psycho Pass or Ghost in a Shell: SAC pull me in alot more then Madoka Magica
Madoka is a prime example of a show that you can't go one episode deep into. You'll get the wrong idea and wonder why it captivates everyone the way it does. And speaking of Madoka and yuri relationships, [sp]Madoka x Homura and Sayaka x Kyouko are, I think, the biggest two contenders. Homura explicitly states her love powering her dark side in Rebellion, and Kyouko kills herself to bring down Sayaka (IIRC something about not wanting her to die alone?). There might have also been some more suggestive dialogue between them as well, but that's all I remember.[/sp] There was also that whole Korra (not reeeeally "anime", but..) thing.
uh so i havent really watched any kind of anime in my life and i thought id try it one of my weeb friends recommended Kill la Kill, and yeah it's fun as hell but it's awkward as fuck and it feels like I'm missing an entire story before it, can anyone tell me if I'm meant to be watching/reading something before this or if it literally just throws you in like this
I don't know how you "get into" anything with only one episode.
im p sure i watched more than just the first ep, although i may not have recorded that. i know there's the whole 3 ep rule, but i cant help but feel as though if a television show doesnt grab me in the first ep, then its failed its primary primary purpose (which lets get down to it, is to make money) because im not going to watch more episodes of something to wait for it to get good, im a consumer, i have no time for things that dont interest me, and if i dont care after the first episode, im not going to keep watching and buy the BDs

Kill la Kill is one of those shows, you need to be desensitised to the anime before you go full anime. You probably shouldn't be watching anything by Gainax or Trigger (KlK) right off the bat.

KLK is NOT a first anime. Also who would recommend KLK as a first anime? Like Even I was kinda EH about it half way through because it goes kinda out there at some points.
so I heard there was going to be a new city hunter ova mal says it going to be 1 ep I like the city hunter ops, especially 2
just read SnK 70 I... what
uh so i havent really watched any kind of anime in my life and i thought id try it one of my weeb friends recommended Kill la Kill, and yeah it's fun as hell but it's awkward as fuck and it feels like I'm missing an entire story before it, can anyone tell me if I'm meant to be watching/reading something before this or if it literally just throws you in like this
Kill la Kill is pretty much a satire on a certain genre of anime, so it doesn't really make that much sense if you watch that as your first anime.
Kill la Kill is pretty much a super high production value satire on a certain genre of anime, so it doesn't really make that much sense if you watch that as your first anime.
what Kill la Kill were you watching?
uh so i havent really watched any kind of anime in my life and i thought id try it one of my weeb friends recommended Kill la Kill, and yeah it's fun as hell but it's awkward as fuck and it feels like I'm missing an entire story before it, can anyone tell me if I'm meant to be watching/reading something before this or if it literally just throws you in like this
First anime should be more something like: Death Parade Death Note Baccano Cowboy Bebop Black Lagoon NHK ni Youkoso! Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Look them up and see if any of it interests you. KLK is just not a good starting point because it's made fanservice a part of the plot, which, well, it doesn't leave you with a good taste in the mouth. I would also recommend any movie by Satoshi Kon Paprika would be the normal one to point out, even if not the best, though still marvelous. (Perfect Blue)
what Kill la Kill were you watching?
creatively the production values are really high as in, they have really really skilled and well-known industry people working around a fairly low budget which is part of what makes it so interesting

Hell even after watching a bunch of anime KLK comes off weird at points.
2 episodes into Punch Line and I have no idea how anyone could say anything positive about it based on either of those episodes (since some people praised it already on ep 1). Colorful art is currently all it has going for it. Not a single original joke in 2 episodes is pretty bad, especially as an introduction.
B-but the panties...?
Death Leaves was the first anime I saw in like 2004? I can't remember I know I was kinda youngish, I was dead from the get go in terms of anime.
