I saw this a couple weeks ago, it looks like something I'd like to watch, but I've never watched Lupin, where should I start?
Caught up with oregairu.
Props to Garlickeh for catching and clarifying that one important scene where yui spoke ambiguously about loving the club [sp] and loving hikki, who didn't realize it was really a confession[/sp]
Wait where did garlickerface clarify that I must've missed it.
I remember me and max talked about it very briefly though.

Oregairu 2 ep10 when?
Oregairu 2 ep10 when?
Commie usually releases at midnight or somewhat earlier than that, American time (1:30pm west coast time right now so it's like 3-4 PM for eastcoasters right now I think). You might as well sleep and wake up tomorrow for it.
HS is tomorrow altogether. FFF is probably still FFF.

The first series?
Or The Secret of Mamo. I can't remember which I watched first. Though I still haven't finished the series.

Then it's probably you or max. I just only remember somebody here complaining about crunchyroll's translation as it didn't catch the ambiguity of [sp]her confession[/sp].
The crunchyroll sub only had subtitled along the lines of "I like the club.... I like it". In Nipponese, the "I like it" part could mean either refer to liking the club or [sp]liking hikki[/sp] or something like that.
Again, I don't know who posted it but the signs point to Garlickeh as he would know moonspeak
[editline]4th June 2015[/editline]
Hell, I didn't know what anime he was talking about at the time (which is a good thing otherwise it would've spoiled it for me) and only remember the details when the scene came up.
I would've never caught on [sp]that she is confessing to him[/sp] from the subs alone. So credit's due.

I thought the post was accompanied by a screen cap or video of the moment; I'm not sure how I would otherwise remember your post when the scene came up.
Thanks for the heads up and translation

this spoiler tag is neat, but also i hate hover spoilers cuz you can accidentally hover over them
it's alright for spoiler tag abuse though since then it isn't an actual spoiler
Next weeks gintama can not get here fast enough

It's a good spoiler tag to use in FA because it reminds me of the fog censor used in anime :v:

I prefer it when spoilers make posts look like CIA documents, thank you very much.
I really enjoy Danna ga nani, even if it's only a short anime. I'm glad it got a second season.

So I just discovered that someone decided to make the Dollars discussion board from DRRR.
Well good thing about that spoiler tag is that it doesn't stay highlighted. So if I accidentally see it I can quickly move the cursor.
I'm probably the only one who has accidentally clicked a spoiler tag.
So… Why do we need an official trailer?
I bet some of you guys have caught onto the premiere date on the very end of the trailer! With the help of TOHO, the 2nd episode of LWA is going to the theaters starting October in Japan!
A release in the theater seems nice and fancy, but does that mean the backers will have to wait until October to get a glance of LWA2…?
No, that will not be the case! Our backers will have the opportunity to view the finished film at an earlier date.
To further explain, allow me to announce the 2nd update of the day!
Studio TRIGGER will be returning to Anime Expo this year to hold premiere event for Little Witch Academia The Enchanted Parade! For specific details please check the Anime Expo official website, http://www.anime-expo.org/ as they should be updating their website quite frequently!
We are also aware that not everyone will be able to attend the premiere event. Therefore, we have decided to provide the digital contents as the premiere starts so all of our backers will be able to enjoy the episode at the same time!
What about the other rewards? When will they arrive?
Since we will be finishing our film in order to make the premiere at AX, we are expecting to have the physical copies of the rewards available at your door step sometime around August of this year. To follow up, I’ve prepared sample images for some of our rewards!
Some Kickstarter Physical Awards, some the stuff you get for the 200$ tier.

high school settings (my personal theory)
[sp2]
1. relatability
many school settings are used because many avid anime watchers are still in school. but even for adults, hs is relatable. pretty much everyone in japan goes through high school these days, but that is not true for college. when you make a show about college you risk losing that relatability for some viewers. even more so if you make a show about adult life. you'd have to choose the job setting to be in some industry, and who knows what tiny percentage of people actually work in that industry and can relate
2. entering the work force
the birth of an otaku
when you get a full time job you dont have nearly as much free time. and the free time you do have is usually spent with your SO or friends. now, as prominent as anime characters are in japan, people who watch anime as an adult are seen to be just as creepy as elsewhere in the world. generalization incoming: if you have time to watch anime post college you are likely either a neet or have few friends. you have a shit ton of time to watch anime in school, but once you graduate and are working you do not have time to do so. (personal experience and from what ive seen) you cannot juggle a full time job, being social, and anime. plus, as you get older, watching anime becomes more and more of a social no-no. the people who still do so become The Otakus
so for those otakus, why is the school setting so popular? many adult otakus are otakus because they've given something up to support their hobby - either work or social interaction, both of which make you an outcast. when you're an outcast you turn away from society as society turns away from you and you find solace in your hobby. but at this age, you're far less likely to find someone who shares your interests. you become forever alone. life after school becomes seemingly drudging and boring. you look back on your teens when you sat in a classroom with 20 other people your age every day. maybe you were a weirdo then but it was easier to find other anime watchers and you had enough free time to spend on anime. its not yet a complete social taboo. wish fulfillment and escapism to the days when you didn't have all these responsibilities and societal expectations
3. freedom
because highschool is the perfect timeline. you're old enough to think reasonably like an adult, but you're still under protection from your parents. i.e., you do not have to worry about paying bills, paying rent, taxes, and all this other rl shite. both literally and psychologically you've got freedom. you're not yet at your "fuck i gotta work", "fuck i need to figure out a living" point in life that comes with college. you can afford to be absent from school, be gone for a while to go on some crazy anime adventure and come back to your teacher being "whereve u ben u little shit go copy notes from a classmate" rather than your boss being "you're fuckin fired"
the end
