Name? I have recently taken a liking to light novels about VRMMO and such.
http://myanimelist.net/manga/86594/Hourou_Yuusha_wa_Kinka_to_Odoru
polnareff's bizarre adventure was good, but yeah, my favorite so far is still part 2. I hope they do part 4 because I sure ain't reading some weeb comic books.
Gatchaman S2 Episode 0 seems to have aired already
...who is subbing it though?
Fansubdb says commie, CR, and Cthuko. And something about hulu.
Recommendations for light novels pls.
I'm almost done with Only Sense Online and Shinsekai yori.
I'm interested in NGNL ln, but i still have hope for anime to continue so i'd rather not.
I like stuff like world building, fantasy, exploring, vrmmo (not like sao, but like log horizon or OSO i mentioned).
i wish assclass was about those 3 assassin guys in the latest couple of episodes instead of the E-class
they have a lot more character and are more interesting
JoJo: While I didn't think the final battle was that great, I was really amused by [sp]Joseph pretending to be possessed by Dio.[/sp]

You should read masterpieces like What Came to Mind During My Third Time in Another World Was to for Now, Get Naked
No but seriously, read Overlord, Mushoku Tensei and Summoned Slaughterer
the last food porn episode wasn't as good as the series so far. Bad? No. It just didn't really do anything.
And with two shows ended now, let us think back upon them.
Jojo: SC: Part 2 - It's Jojo. Too bad Jotaro is still an OP fuck but Dio makes it all okay. Also Joseph.
Assclass - Good adaptation. S2 coming so yes please.

Picked Overlord and Mushoku (heard about both of these in advance so this simply confirmed choice), but didn't find epub of Slaughterer. Sadly so since it sounds interesting.

Just read it from https://kerambitnosakki.wordpress.com/toc/
What the fuck Satoshi Kon worked on the shitty 90s jojo ova.

There was epub link in the comments so thanks.

You make it sound like he did anything noteworthy.
Screenplay (ep 5)
Storyboard (ep 5)
Episode Director (ep 5)
Composition Cooperation (ep 6)
Key Animation (ep 2)
He directed one episode and helped out with a few different things. Big whoop. Everyone works at everything in anime land.

Yeah but the episode he directed was still fucking terrible.
Yeah but the episode he directed was still fucking terrible.
He wasn't the director, he wasn't the producer, he wasn't the writer. He was the episode director and had control over the composition.
It's not like something automatically becomes good because one guy had one role in the production of something.

What? he's credited with the fucking screenplay AND storyboard.
explain how that isn't writing the episode.

I forgot that screenplay is another word for script.
Kenichi Takashima and Takao Kawaguchi were the script writers for the OVA in it's entirety though, so it probably had to go through them as well, or be written in co-operation.
I'm not saying that Satoshi Kon doing one episode would save the show, I'm saying "why is the part of the show headed by him still just as terrible as the rest when everything else he did is amazing"
[editline]19th June 2015[/editline]
it's like his involvement had zero impact on the quality.

I still don't understand why you think him being involved on some parts of one episode would save that episode.
His directing work still has to go through the director of the series, his script still has to go through the main scriptwriters, the producer has his own ideas on how it should be and all in all he's just another cog in the wheel.
or Advance of Zeta, Gundam Sentinel, and Hathaway's Flash
Isn't Hathaway's flash pretty poopy?
Also Ecole du Ciel would be great.

Give Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari a try.
It was finished recently, the web novel translation, that is. Still need to finish it off myself.
The plot goes a bit haywire later on but I can vouch for the quality of the series at least until the Cal Mira arc.

I wasn't expecting, I was just hoping it wouldn't be literally just as terrible as the rest after seeing his name as the head director of the episode, which the episode stuck in the OPENING credits so I assumed more involvement then just "cog in the wheel"? maybe?
but it doesn't even matter, my original post was "hey recognizable guy worked on shit thing I just watched", i don't actually think he would have saved it and I already said that

One has you listening to Sugita, one doesn't.
I don't think I need to point out which one is preferrable.

this sexy voice.
I miss "vanilla" Jojo.
Well I am not familiar with whoever that is so maybe you do need to point it out
I'm feeling a weird mixture of anger, confusion and pity right now. But this just means you can discover Sugita for yourself.
So AssClass ended today, apparently. It's certainly weird to see a 2-cour series have 22 episodes, I'd expect 24 like normal. It wasn't anything special, but it was a fun timekiller every Saturday.
Also, I have no idea how many people here are even following Saki except for me and Darklight, but the raws for new chapter released today and man, I expected Nelly to be an entertaining player, but I did not expect her to [sp]fucking kill Sawaya's Suuankou Daisangen and RINSHAN in front of Saki. (Although I was pretty sure double yakumans weren't in the tournament rules, maybe that might've been just the prefecturals) Sawaya's powers are also quite unexpected: everyone expected Bible-related powers but then she pulls an Ainu deity. [/sp]
Decided to watch the Ghibli Kaguya-hime movie after reading the suggestion by Ninnie-guy.
It's sort of funny that one of Ghibli's best movies (imo) is merely a portrayal of a folktale. But at the same time, it's really incredible how well made it is.
The art and the music are so beautiful. They really make the storytelling come through so vividly. I especially loved the scene that happened after [sp]Kaguya couldn't take listening to the men at the naming party anymore, and ran away from the mansion. It was amazing.[/sp]
It's a very good movie. Even if you know the Kaguya story already, even if just a little, it has a lot of power in it's representation and is a great retelling.
