Gatchaman S2 Episode 0 seems to have aired already ...who is subbing it though?
I feel tricked. Was it supposed to be new content or did I just watch a re-showing of Embrace?
Anyone seen this preview trailer yet?
Anyone seen this preview trailer yet?
looks pretty generic
Is there really another episode of UBW left?
What an awful ending for the first cour of Owari no Seraph. My deepest regret is that I still have to watch the second cour.
Ah Jesus Christ JoJo. Final episode, Stardust Crusaders. [sp]"now you can suddenly walk in time for 2 seconds" from literally only being able to do a single movement. "Hah, now I too can stop time"[/sp] I hate these asspulls that just adds in new abilities where convenient. Truly the epitome of "But I deflected your attack with a megabazillion blows" "Nuh uh because I countered it with my secret superkablam ability that kills you instead and stops your megabazillion blows to work" "Hah, but I expected to do that so I made it so my megabazillion blows can't be stopped by your superkablam ability so you die". If you're just adding in new rules and mechanics when you feel like it then there are no wits or cleverness to it. You just win because you're making it up as you go. 6/10 - At least it's a good looker, has some good jokes and the occasional good episode and stand.

also a bit of a fun fact I heard [sp]It was originally planned that Joseph WOULD come back as Dio, but was scrapped[/sp]

The stuff Joseph came up with to defeat Cars was nothing but complete utter bullshit that nobody could have come up with and especially not so fast, but he does and it's great because it's a battle of wits not "i am power now". Joseph didn't cover all his bases It's a deus ex machina. JoJo has never known that he could stop time nor that he could move in time, and goes from being able to pull a punch to move in 2 seconds to stop time itself for as long as Dio in literally minutes (in-universe time). His stand being similar is just an asspulled excuse to make Dio's overpowered stand defeatable. The foreshadowing of him having these powers only in the last 2 episodes doesn't stop it from being a deus ex machina, it's just hinting to the fact that a deus ex machina will happen. Had it been foreshadowed from the start of the series with small oddities happening and Jotaro slowly becoming aware of his power but not fully realizing it before he met Dio and understood his power, THEN it wouldn't have been a deus ex. (poor stand design though, because again, you need to counter it with itself to have a chance) When you need somebody to have the same power but not know it before fighting the bloody guy and then revealing it as a finishing blow, then you've made a bad nemesis[/sp]
oh boy if you think Dio's stand is overpowered then you're in for a ride

Snipers. JoJo would find a way. Defending an asspull with an asspull, not bad. But Polnareff makes sense because that's adrenaline pumping him up making his reactions better and movements faster, the stand is connected with the body so obviously it also gains those increases. Being able to learn more and better because of adrenaline however... practically speaking it would end up being the opposite because you're too enraged to think straight. That may be, but that is completely irrelevant to how it's handled in this story. The next story is built on the fact that SP can stop time, this story wasn't, it was only brought in when convenient.[/sp]
(Stardust Crusaders spoilers) [sp]Dio is not in full control of his body, because it's Jonathan's. meanwhile Jotaro is 17 and in his own body, far more in his prime then dio is at this point. his body doesn't heal as fast as it should, his vampire powers don't work, Dio took so long because he's trying to use a stand that formed in a body he's not in control of.[/sp]
[sp]And yet even when Dio had full control of his body he only learned to stop time 1 second more between the uses. a.k.a Jotaro learning to use the entire fucking ability in minutes makes no sense even then[/sp]
