Honestly this is pretty tame compared to other fights that start here, nobody's been banned yet.
Has anyone died yet?
And what exactly do you think I'm talking about when I say "More inbetweens at the right places causes higher quality animation. More inbetweens at the wrong places just makes for retro western animation like those legendary Zelda ones where everyone is just moving and wobbling around for the sake of it."?
and "More frames overall is always better, but some motions look better with fewer because of timing and speed. "
So we agree on those points. What's the issue then?
What I'm saying overall is that Kill la Kill is a much more interesting show from another creator's standpoint, while Gurren Lagann might be more interesting if you're strictly a consumer/critic.

I think you're putting way too much focus on your career and too little on your just being a person with different preferences.
It's starting to become arrogance.

Not really, I don't mean it in that way. I'm saying that somebody who analyzes the animation with the intent of learning and applying that stuff to their own work might have a different experience watching something than somebody who watches it for entertainment, or focuses on story and whatevers. It has nothing to do with whatever my career is
In my opinion, the animation in KLK had way more standout moments visually, both "actually really good-good" and "bad in a good way-good". I don't remember anything from Gurren Lagann that made an impression on me, while I can name loads of moments from Kill la Kill where the animation really stood out to me.
He's just explaining where his preference comes from what's wrong with that
your preference is wrong if it differs from mine
Yeah dgg stop being offended at opinions.
I watched mind game. Thoroughly confused, 9/10.
Summarise the last four days in this thread. I've been unable to read because holiday

Fart fart anime fart
finished yahari s2 and the only thing i can really say about it is bleh
it feels like there's a constant drama-per-minute requirement after the first 2 or so episodes, it's just drama after drama after drama
none of the drama has any weight since there's no comedy to balance it out and all big problems are brushed over too quickly so they can fit in more drama
the final episode was a good example of what the show was, constant vague overbearing drama with very few jokes in between and in the end there was no conclusion, i know it's because it's following the LN, but they shouldn't have started to adapt an arc that they can't finish
overall season 2 was ruined by trying to cover too many things too fast, so they had to cut out almost all of the light-hearted stuff which made it a constant dramafest with no real weight to it
then again, even then i probably would've been uninterested in constant teen angst
the visuals were great, the comedy that was there was good and the non-drama character interactions and dialogue were fun, but the constant drama and vagueness of the serious dialogue (some episodes felt like barely anything was actually being said even though there was constant talking) really pulled it down and had me sighing and bored often
(also not enough saika)
with that said, pointless detail and silly mistake in the final episode i noticed:
hikki takes a bite out of the light side of the cookie, but the bite mark appears on the dark side of the cookie, you can even see the light piece of cookie in his mouth

What do you guys think of Psycho-Pass S2?
What do you guys think of Psycho-Pass S2?
i believe the general concensus is "psycho-pass s2 doesn't exist"
What do you guys think of Psycho-Pass S2?
It's like eating a beautifully cooked steak (psycho-pass), and then ordering a half eaten hot dog glazed in shit as seconds (psycho-pass 2)
What animes am I watching next season
The ones that I hate.
What do you guys think of Psycho-Pass S2?
it's really bad.
This is very entertaining.
FA arguments are just not the same without Reds as one of the sides in the conflict.
Wait, yamada kun spoilers

[sp]theres only 6 witches pictured even including the witch we don't know about, aren't there supposed to be 7? Or will my question be solved later on because I'm only on ep 10[/sp]
I thought this was a finale spoiler b4 the ep aired so I avoided it until now.
[sp]Asuka (the black haired asst of the stud council prez who super kicks potential enemies) is a witch but she is not included because Tamaki (green haired prez candidate) has taken her power. For all intents and purposes, all those who have witch powers are pictured.[/sp]

outta curiosity, how closely does the Yamada-kun anime follows the manga, including the ending?
Finale spoilers:
[sp]the anime ending leaves little way to segue into s2. I'm curious if the story is still following the manga or if they are tying up ends as they doubt there will be a s2 production.
I'm still gonna read the mango regardless[/sp]

What about Durarara S2?
What about Durarara S2?
It was pretty boring. But not non-existent like PP s2.
Shit what's with animes I'm interested in having mediocre second seasons?
durarara s2 has been good so far in my opinion
Durarara s2 is far from mediocre. It's definitely worth watching, don't listen to kamikaze. Second cour stars in like in like a week and a half too.
It was pretty boring. But not non-existent like PP s2.
I wasn't bored, it wasn't as good as s1 but it was still good.
Shit what's with animes I'm interested in having mediocre second seasons?
It wasn't mediocre, it was just boring. Maybe it was the pacing, I dunno. I really liked s1 (gave it a 8) but it just wasn't there for me with first half of s2, maybe second half will be better.
Fuck yes finally got Amagi OVA subs
