If wishes were horses than beggars may ride, if wishes were out there, my friends you would ride, if a wish would change your mind.
I'm waiting for the 3DS. They're going to revise the hardware anyway, they always do. So I'll hold off until that happens.
if I remember right Nintendo said that they were doing something for the Zelda 25th anniversary, so I'm holding out in hopes that it's a Zelda 3DS.
Intergalactic planetary Planetary intergalactic
Plus none of the games I want are available at launch anyway so I'm not going to bother until the main games come out.
Should I buy the first Crysis?
Intergalactic planetary Planetary intergalactic
I heard that song so many fucking times when I worked at PHX comicon last year. [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Whatcha think of the new avatar? Made from this
Should I buy the first Crysis?
It's basically eye candy bundled with a mediocre fps.
It's basically eye candy bundled with a mediocre fps.
p much. it's not really worth paying full price for. i bought it from D2D when they had a holiday sale. up until the story goes crazy with the aliens it's actually so-so IMO.
Alrighty, that's one thing to strike from my list. [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Probably gonna buy GTAIV first when I can actually afford games again in a few months. :v:
GTA IV is fun on the PC, with mods and all that. It just sucks that the engine is almost entirely CPU bound.
An AMD quad-core 3.2GHz processor should be fine for it, right?
An AMD quad-core 3.2GHz processor should be fine for it, right?
That's what I have and it runs fine. Not perfect, but it's playable.
An AMD quad-core 3.2GHz processor should be fine for it, right?
Most mid to high end quads will run it fine. Although if you really want to see the best performance you'll have to overclock. [editline]17th March 2011[/editline]
That's what I have and it runs fine. Fuck yeah, my friend's coming to get me and we gonna party.
go away
ok but before that can i blow you
So... What's the downside to overclocking? Does it increase heat-output by a lot?
It can if you really start ramping your voltages up. There's also a little more wear and tear on the components, although nothing major as long as you're not being ridiculous. [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] n
Like trying to overclock it to 4.0Ghz or something? If I do decide to overclock, what should I start at?
Like trying to overclock it to 4.0Ghz or something? If I do decide to overclock, what should I start at?
You shouldn't have to worry about it. Although some people have been able to bump the 955BE to aroun 3.8GHz on the stock voltage. Depends on your setup as a whole. For a beginner though you should consult some OCing guides first and familiarize yourself with the features in your BIOS you'd need to use.

Totally got Pokemon Yellow on my iPod :smug:
Okie dokie, I doubt I'm gonna overclock though, this being my first self-built computer and all.
It's not hard to do. But it's also not necessary under most circumstances.
