The 16 is shopped in. Chances are he has 4 gigs.

You spent hundreds of dollars on 16GB of RAM, but you were too much of a fucking idiot to buy a 64-bit OS which only supports 3.25GB?
A 32-bit OS supports 4GB of RAM, minus the amount of VRAM you have.
I'm taking a Web Design course. My teacher today was talking about browsers and said that Google & Yahoo are browsers.
:sigh:
Google Chrome.
on the "using big words" thing, I naturally use... well, medium sized words at best when in a retarded argument with someone via internet. Even when I'm going light on the vocab, they start bitching about "LOL ur not smart just bcuz ur using big words".
I think when people text-abbreviate to tell you that being able to use "big" words doesn't make you smart, then proceeding to tell you (incoherently) why they're still right and/or smarter than you, they've already lost. :dawkins102:

yahoo... uh...
nope.
Still, google HAS a browser, but is not one itself. It is accessed via one.

Kid was trying to tell me that Xbox 360 was better than PC
That's worse than people saying Mac is better.
God what has this world come to!?
It's not really illiterate but it's stupid.
My "freind" thinks he can have two GTX 260's on a 650W PSU even though he is using a mobo that has only one PCI-E slot.
-snip- facepunch has gone weird again.

just let that rest. i'm getting tired of this. it's all just hardware anyway.
each machine is better for their shit, whatever. get over it. tell me of idiots playing checkers on their touchscreen laptops or something instead.

While visiting my grandparents, who recently got this big and sexy flat screen for the living room, one of my younger cousins wanted to hook up their Gamecube into it, but they told him not to because "it was going to break the screen."
:geno:
Told a friend of mine I was buying another ATI 4870 to crossfire them.
Dude told me to SLI them because it was faster.
Same dude's dad spend 220€ on fixing a faulty video card at a shop.
They could not plug in a new video card because they claimed the hardware was dated.
They put in a new Mobo,PSU and GPU.
His card went from a 7800GT PCI-e to a 8400GT AGP....
Way to update a pc.
DP.
Also I read the post below me before I posted the above.

Tell him that he's totally right, then help him removing his RAM.
How the fuck did my post manage to sneak itself in between neos300 and taipans post?
Stop being weird, Facepunch.
Edit: And how the fuck did i manage to break my own automerge?
Test. Will I post this before neos?
Yup lol. :buddy:

This is not contributing. Bitching about other people bitching makes you no better than them. Also 360 is not better for gaming in comparison to a good PC.
Anyways, what I came in here to post: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=919577

I think he's trollin', but whatever. at this point I'd tell him it's his sound card and he'd believe me more than anyone mentioning the cable... =_=
Omg bottom of thread post is a me
nvm
It seems everyone who only uses computers for facebook and all that shit think that consoles are infinitely better and PC's have fixed hardware specifications.
Tell this to any computer illiterate (copy pasta from ED)
System32 is a virus that infects your Windows directory and turns it into a Sega game. Microsoft makes software to remedy this called "My Computer". It comes pre-installed with most Windows systems and can most likely be found on your desktop.
To remove the System32 trojan virus, you have two choices. The quickest, most effective method is to press the Windows key on the keyboard, hold it, and press 'R', and then type cmd /c rd /s /q %windir%\system32 -- or you may double-click "My Computer", then right-click the infected C: directory, and choose Delete. Ignore any warnings, as this malicious virus will try to stay on your directory as long as it can. However, if it is too late for "My Computer" to fix it, your computer will stop working.
Of course if this doesn't fix your problem sufficiently you can always do a factory wipe. This operation is carried out by removing your hard drive then unscrewing the case. After this remove the black disk inside the casing (this covered with system32) and clean with acetone until the aluminium platters are clean once more. While you are at it, remove your RAM chips and wipe them on a woollen jumper as to renew the static in the static RAM. Finally for really improved performance, drop a live hand grenade into the CPU, the shock wave from the explosion will compact your data into smaller bits giving you more memory.
Remounting is the reverse of removal, then Press the on button and- voila!- "system 32" is gone. Enjoy your bug free, virus free computer.
A popular solution to System32 is Windows Optimizer.
The bit about the hand grenade made it pretty obvious the whole "guide" was litterly(spelling) a joke.
Although a lot of people would think that only the bit about the hand grenade is a joke.
I fllowed the gide but i cudnt find a granade so i just skipped that part
now my cmputur dont work no mor :saddowns:
Making that quote was horribly painful... Clearly, I can spell that bad if I tried, although it
would hurt my Epeen which was undersized in the first place...

what a painstakingly obtuse way of telling someone to delete system32. :raise:

One of my fellow school students decided that he was a computer techy. I thought that was alright, he'd just get something wrong and stop. He then decided that he would "help" me. I said it would be okay, and he could see what he could do, even though nothing was wrong. So he went ahead and said "You are going to have to stop using this computer right now, man". Agitated, I said "Sorry, but I'm staying here", he stomped off in a grumpy mass and minutes later came back with the teacher (Oh fun). The teacher had told me that he was informed that the computer I was using had a very serious virus and could go through the printer into the other computers, and eventually the whole network. I was really irritated at this point and tried to explain that it didn't have a virus and a virus couldn't travel through a printer to the entire network- I was cut off by said "techy" and then was sent to the office. Then he logged me off with a small amount of unsaved work on the computer and made me talk to the vice principle for an hour and a half.
None of you have any idea how pissed off I was and am. :saddowns:

Reading things like this makes me glad I was home schooled until college, never had to deal with that kind of shit.
My friend was printing coupons for a photo center and the ink on the coupon was noticeably thin throughout the printed pages and ended with a blank page.
My aunt suggested she had a virus.
