Just because someone isn't good with computers doesn't mean we should ruin his stuff.
the thing is, a good portion of mac users seem to think that because they need steve jobs to think for them, all other OS's are inferior.
Here you go man [img_thumb]http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/images/uploads/Deactivated%20Smith%20and%20Wesson%20686%20stainless/s&w_357_2%281%29.jpg[/img_thumb]
Coincidentally, in the past I've considered buying that very gun :v:

Why is this picture always funny?
Because it's what you wish you could do without breaking your computer.
My friend is the poorest person I know, lives in the shit neighborhood, and has a pair of Turtle Beaches. They're really not that pro. EDIT: As page king, here's some content My friend said he was making a game today. I asked him what engine he was using to make it. He said he'd send me the file instead. You know what he sent me? A .jpg picture of something he made in Paint, with the bottom elongated and a ton of fake code like And he honestly thought it would work, he thought if he saved it as .exe he could run it and play it.
You can thank things like this: http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/game-program-code.php
^Holy Shit! :psypop: It's the Gamebryo Engine! Now I know why Fallout 3 and Oblivion keep on crashing! But seriously, it makes me wanna grab my crossbow and go on a killing spree to alleviate my rage. Now about that OS war thread...
Stop adding fuel to the fire. NO MORE MAC HATE. please
It is not macs that we hate, it is retarded mac users.
It is not macs that we hate, it is retarded mac users.
yes, but the not-retarded-but-not-knowledgeable base of everyone else tends to just toss onto the pile "Lawl macs r ghey" and start a bunch of bandwagoning from others who don't know any better. We should see if we can state a rule in the OP and have everyone report people... with a mod actually cooperating.
Well, I'm not sure if this is illiteracy... but..
*Turning off by power switch, instead of going Turn off in menu* Teacher: Don't do that, IT WRECKS IT. *Facepalm* Later... Teacher: Oh, shut it down by holding down the power switch.
From the other thread:
*People shutdown using cable switch once again* Teacher : Don't shutdown using the cable switch, it wrecks it, TURN THE COMPUTER BACK ON AND SHUT IT DOWN AGAIN, PROPERLY! Students : Sorry. Okay.
I just facepalmed again, what the fuck?
yes, but the not-retarded-but-not-knowledgeable base of everyone else tends to just toss onto the pile "Lawl macs r ghey" and start a bunch of bandwagoning from others who don't know any better.
Yeah the bangwagoning is a problem although that solution probably wouldn't work as mac hate is not racism so is not bannable and can sometimes be pretty funny.
some can be funny, but when you get two or three people just raining brimstone and spouting slander, retarded "facts", or whatever, it could be bannable as trolling, dumb post, or if we explicitly mention rules not to go off on fanboy-tangents with hating specific brands or whatever, it's simply "didn't read OP", or "can't follow rules", depending on the moderator.
one of my friend said "what graphics is your computer" i said "what?"
probably means what video card
"it is on-screen graphics, good sir."
This is a conversation I was having a while ago with one of my guildies.
Me: *some stuff about Macs that I didn't know better back then* Guildy: But... I'm on a Mac. Me: What... Guildy: Macs work just fine for playing the game.
After a little more of this conversation, and looking at a few more informative posts on this thread, I finally understood (or at least I think I do now) the subject. And that is: Mactardism =/= Macs suck. Edit: By the way, this was I think the middle of V2 thread.
Yeah the bangwagoning is a problem although that solution probably wouldn't work as mac hate is not racism so is not bannable and can sometimes be pretty funny.
it's only funny when idiots own themselves in an attempt to be all high and mighty anti-mac dewds. what is not funny is when it turns into all out trolling. if i were a mod, some of these posts would have been banned and some real idiots would have netted themselves some Permas for "being hard to love" or "fucking idiot" or "outright trolling, bye, too bad about those 44k posts from jan 2010?" mods are too slacky if they're even here, hell, i might get banned because the mods are more random than /b/. i don't know what has happened, but this place is not a good, openminded place any more. anything you say WILL be smacked back in your face in the form of a nitpicking rock the size of jupiter. too much shit is just too acceptable here. i don't want a nazi forum, but i want assholes to be treated for what they are and have them shown the door.
i don't know what has happened, but this place is not a good, openminded place any more.
It used to be?
This happened a year ago and it was so annoying! I was in a IT lesson and was doing some work and then my friend dared me to type in cmd msg * hi, so I did and it sent it to everyone (All the school's pc's are Windows CE and we use RDP to connect to the host pc, making a kind of server/network.) Everyone was "What the f*** is this is???" They thought I was hacking into the network and the was a meeting about it, I got into trouble and was pissed!
i don't know what has happened, but this place is not a good, openminded place any more.
this forum is now much LESS hyper-critical than it used to be. I'm sure the spell-check, smartness and insta-bans were around when you had first joined... that's about the time I left the forum for a year, so I have no idea what went down in between, but whatever. This place has lost its grammar-nazi touch, and the fear of being banned at any moment is pretty much gone (unless you're asking for it).

You could fuck things up pretty badly if you didn't know what you were doing.
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=194601 :argh:
Why does this make me want to mass genocide the whole mac fanboy community?
Why does this make me want to mass genocide the whole mac fanboy community?
Oh well he got told off by his own community. All's fair.
Hehehehehehehehehehehehehe! http://www.downloadmoreram.com/
this forum is now much LESS hyper-critical than it used to be. I'm sure the spell-check, smartness and insta-bans were around when you had first joined... that's about the time I left the forum for a year, so I have no idea what went down in between, but whatever. This place has lost its grammar-nazi touch, and the fear of being banned at any moment is pretty much gone (unless you're asking for it).
well, that's actually very good. except you have to litterally ASK to be banned. some things just warrants a ban and there's alot of examples in here. unbased hate statements categorize as trolling and should be banable and there are alot of those just in the last few pages. this place softened up for the better, but then it just kept opening up, and now, everything is just ok... except warez which is still treated like some inquisitional rule. bannable in any shape way or form. reference, admission or just in context of a discussion, the door is right besides it, always. now why is this waste of energy not dampened to admissions/promotion of warez? then all our weekend nazi moderators could keep this place tidy and cosy. no one wants to speak out when there's a chance of being banned. but it's damn annoying to speak your mind when you can be 90% sure that the topic will be trolled to oblivion just because people can. even the good guys go "i'm 12, what is this" at times, it's stupid. "u canat wrait, u must be 12, i cannat talk wiss you than", "topic for serious consideration and an openminded op" "ur stupeed, this is facepunch, u can't reason with us", "i'm 12 what is this?" "macs suxx" what happened to OP? he learned that this is /b/ 2. oh, and about the loosening up thing. i think it was Hezzys ban spree before i joined, no idea though. you'll have to ask someone else.
Told a friend about Minecraft today. He then proceeded to go into the school computer's multimedia folder and rage when it wasn't there, even though I told him it's a freaking java browser game. :downs: The same kid also demanded I lent him my illegal copy of San Andreas for the PS2. Conversation was like this: Me: What? You don't even have a PS2! :downs:: just give it to me fag it mite werk on my xbox Me: It's an illegal copy anyway, you'd need to get your PS2 chipped even if you got one. :downs:: dude ur rely frickin stoopid jus give it to me (User was banned for this post ("Warez" - Greeman))
