It's too late. He's on the side of... *gulps* Justice, now...
I just realized something which essentially is the difference between a mactard and a genuine mac comsumer. "Getting a mac for the OMG NOT WINDOWS hype is like getting a game for its awesome menus." it's got nothing to do with what it's going to do for you anyway.
What the hell, DAI? everythings changing now! you've got moderized and i'm throwing out fun facts about stupid use of Mac, what the hell? (please don't ban me?) Grats on that.
wow, talk about relevance of my "fucking lenient mods rants" of late... (oh god, please don't hit me man, i'm just a sorry ass poster with some higher sense of justice.)
this forum is now much LESS hyper-critical than it used to be. I'm sure the spell-check, smartness and insta-bans were around when you had first joined... that's about the time I left the forum for a year, so I have no idea what went down in between, but whatever. This place has lost its grammar-nazi touch, and the fear of being banned at any moment is pretty much gone (unless you're asking for it).
I miss the smartness system. Forcing people to spell and punctuate correctly so they don't look like an idiot made reading anything on here much more pleasing to the eyes. The fact that it auto banned people for having to low of a smartness was a nice touch too.

bring back smartness, we need it
no we really don't. it's a post count that subtracts for bad spelling.
and not even bad spelling. I remember plenty of times where I spelled things correctly, but because they were not in the "dictionary", or because they were hyphenated, or any number of other issues that are not bad spelling or grammar. people who spell horribly will get yelled at for it, and that's all they need.

Lol, I remember those days. You spell a complete sentence, you get one tiny little point. One letter gets out of place, and you lose a whopping 26 points.
Good times, eh?

heh, feel free to rant, I might learn a thing or two before it's too late. And, nobody worry, I can't moderate outside of the arts section. Literally, I don't have the buttons and stuff over here.
and I'm still the same guy as before, nothin'll change :buddy:
I like how I enjoy all the benefits of using a PC that has good performance for games, while other people who don't know shit about computers can play on their little consoles thinking they have the best .
While I play most of my games on the PC, I don't like how everyone makes fun of Console gamers. Consoles are cheaper than a PC good enough to game.

Not in the long term if you look into what you're investing in.

unless you're a budget gamer with a 400 buck rig and playing classics/budget games then no. yes, the games are a bit more expensive and the live subscribtion adds up over time and the constant RRODs get expensive if it lasted beyond the warranty.
but a console which doesn't break will run cheaper than many mainstream PCs any day. i prefer the PS3 though. you pay once and for all and you don't have to buy WI-FI, HD-DVD drive and whatnot mumbo jumbo that costs double the price of the actual console.
Serious PC-Gaming will always be the more expensive choice unless you buy more than 20 titles a year.
I gotta agree with Bomimo on this, consoles are far cheaper than a decent computer. Even more so if you get a gaming rig that can play Crysis on very high. But yeah it's worth the money if you can afford it. As for the console preference, I can go either way.
speaking of computers in our youth...

you will mess up.
at some point, you either hit a tree that came up too fast, or give up holding off the inevitable and embrace sweet, sweet death.
So, one my friends came to me a long while ago to ask about what computer they should get (because all of my friends know that I'm pretty much the most technologically literate person in the school).
We discuss it for a while, and a show him good sites to buy from and all that jazz. He's pretty happy and agrees on the parts.
Then, two days later, he says,"Yeah, I bought a FragBox from Falcon Northwest."
Me: What, Why? *I check the website* They don't have most of the parts you wanted, and it's even more expensive.
Him: Well it's small, so I can bring it to LAN parties and stuff.
Since then, I have never seen him take it anywhere, and now he pretty much can't upgrade because it's so small.
Then, several months later, my other (less computer literate than the last one) friend comes to ask pretty much the same thing.
I go through the same routine of giving advice.
He goes and buys a FragBox because it looked cool.
I bought parts and built my computer a while later, and it's better than either of theirs and about 1/2 as expensive. They got angry because I apparently didn't help them get a good computer.
Avatar fits beautifully.

robo? Yeah, I guess. I thought he was supposed to be like an actual rolled-ball snowman with sticks for arms and legs. I even tried making a real snowman like him once :v:
...you know, looking back it feels as though that entire game was coded in MS Paint. :raise:

t'was one big tech-demo of the new windows. Hyper-artistic pixelated characters and perfect paint-style pixelated flags and lines in the snow.
yeah, i see what you mean, it looked very much like some MS Paint-job.
Some kid at my school claimed he built a computer from scratch.
He said, he built all the parts; motherboard, the wires, he said he even built a hard drive, and said he put the entire thing together in less than a day.

Sister: You're talking about me, aren't you!
Me: Go away.
Sister: *looks at a line that says "she's a total durp"* What the hell did you say!/ I'm a DUMP!?
Me: We're not even talking about you, stop looking at my FUCKING PRIVATE conversation!
Sister: No! I have a right to be here!
I swear.. She says that no matter where we tell her to get away from. And whenever one of us
tries to tell her why something is so important, she says "I don't need to hear lectures from
you!"
She's sleeping. Right now. And she doesn't contribute one bit to society. (she just takes up
room, money, and food)

There are three "to"s. To, too, and two. The correct "to," in this case, would be "too." :eng101:
