Best you can do is to make sure that you make things fun for you and the players. A lot of times you have to wing it and improvise. I found this video to be really helpfull and I recomend it when you got some 20 minutes to spare

Fucking hell, I hate this place.
I'm staying with my great uncle and while he's nice, im going to be locked into his house until 11 am because of the way the security system works. I hate being locked into places and if there's a fire ill pretty much die because of the way it works. I can't even go outside because they are afraid of "the arabs". I was in the Arab souk of the Old City during Ramadan where they were shouting about killing the Jew during their celebrations and I was fine, why be scared in suburban Jerusalem???
