Psychonauts. One of the best games I've played.
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 2 is also pretty awesome. Good story and the gameplay is, in my opinion, a lot more fun than other RTS games.

And I know you said PC, but Halo is a really great Xbox game. Great story, but holds a bad rep. for online multiplayer.
