Just look at it this way. When you do finally get to play it, you'll play the best version of it and have a better first experience than everybody who played the beta.
What's the appeal of anime, for those who watch it?
I feel like it can allow for an interesting change of pace from the norm, but it feels incredibly 'tropey' and almost repetitive at times. Maybe my recommendations are off point.

Anime is just a style of animation, really.
What you might be thinking is, "why do socially awkward nerds like to watch pretty girls do cute things"?
Do I need to answer that question for you?

if all your recommends are samey trash than yeah
Man, anime is gay as hell.
*proceeds to watch 8-10 hours a week of big burly men holding each other and performing stunts*

I've never prescribed myself to the train of thought that only certain people can enjoy certain things, so not really. I meant folks in general.

it's just cartoons from japan my man
anime covers such a wide spectrum of things that i can't give you a meaningful answer
I watch anime because I like the porn

i feel like the question is misguided, it's not that anime appeals to a specific fanbase, it's a medium of conveying a story, same as live-action movies or american cartoons, it covers the entire spectrum
Anime is a lifestyle choice.
It's not a phase mom
But that's too complicate, let's better use the stereotype that japanese cartoons are all about tits and if you watch a single frame of them, you are an antisocial person
Meh. Some anime's good, some isn't. It's just like any other thing really.
I'm a scrub and I only watched the stuff that came on Toonami/Adult Swim so I can't really be consulted, but from what I can tell, it's just cartoons.
All of the best anime was on toonami ez
It's funny how people seem so hyped for Overwatch yet it took me this long to even hear that it's a fuckin' FPS. For the longest time I thought Overwatch was the stupid MOBA they're making.
What really grinds my gears, is when someone makes no fucking difference between Psycho Pass and To Love Ru (is example)
And I didn't even know the MOBA was actually released because nobody talks about it lol.

I said it used to be great before it went main stream. Its true. The stuff I used to watch had extreme ideas and depth. Now its just a copy paste of one after another.

Probably because when people hear anime they think of the underage school girls with cyan hair rather than dragonballz

Lol ok
I will leave you with a reminder that things are only good when I like them. Me, not you

Get better recommendations.
*wink wink*
Also dunno, it can be refreshing to see it go to places that live action shows/movies just can't, can be really pleasing to look at depending on the animation style and stuff, and sometimes you just need a couple of cute girls doing cute things to take your mind off how shitty the world can be sometimes.
all anime nowadays is a copy+paste the same way all american cartoons are copy+paste
everything is copy+paste
it's the copy+pastalypse
y u gotta be that way fam im not a moba guy either but i can appreciate the appeal of them :(
