the radio in Fo4 is so goood they really hit it home with their picks i was gonna say that it's weird that they use two songs from 1961 considering the era that the series takes from but then i realized that not only did they use songs from the 60s in NV but also they had an entire faction themed on elvis as he was in the late 60s so there u go
i mean business boi
put em up dilla let's see what u got

so tired. woke up 15:30 on Sunday, went to bed 02:00AM on Tuesday. crashed at a friends place and it was awful to sleep with her, she made all sorts of noises and kicked me from time to time. her cat was overly social as well and wanted to sleep on my pillow and be petted. we went to bed 2AM, and she had to wake up to prepare for work at 06:30AM which of course meant I had to wake up too. I can't even remember falling asleep for those 4 hours, time flew by so slowly. I remember waking up once after I had fallen asleep on my arm so I couldn't feel it anymore, but that was the only time I remember dozing off. else I think I was awake most of the time with the occasional micro sleeps. 35 and a half hours with no sleep followed by a mostly sleep less night, feeling pretty tired right now. if I go to bed right now, I'll definitely fuck up my sleep pattern so I just gotta tough this one out
radio? what radio
the thing i put on so i'm not so scared of the deathclaws :c

Fallout 4 is pretty good
my game is a game that really probably doesn't make sense because it's basically me taking a bunch of different concepts and saying "it would be cool if you put all of these things together" even if it wouldn't actually work when applied, but hey here I go. it's basically a metroidvania (mostly cave story) + patapon + some rpg elements my first idea for a game, one that would be feasible as a first project, was basically yume nikki. before i even knew anything about yume nikki. like literally down to "a girl walks through her actual house when awake and then falls asleep to nonsensical dreams". so i kind of threw that in the trash. so here's the bigger picture way-too-ambitious game i'm thinking of! it still deals with dreams because that's one of my favorite subjects even if the main tropes have been done to death the framing device for the game is that the main protagonist is a young girl who dreams about a world that she's creating in her head. the question of whether this is actually another world she's visiting or if it's just the jumbled up tropey fanfiction ideas of a 12 year old girl is up to interpretation. so it's a high fantasy world. with cat people, because why not. always welcome so, it's a side scrolling action platformer +(pixel tumblr meme game etc) but with a large musical element. in this world, music is one of the ways people control magic. every character has an associated instrument, and what I want to do is make the game's music react to the events of the game. now, this is a super difficult thing to do, so before I get to how I'm going to do that I'll talk about the party system so, you have a multitude of characters that you control at once. you have a "point character", basically whoever is in focus, and the other characters in your party follow them. you can switch between who's on point at will. every character has 3 abilities, delegated to 3 buttons, and these abilities can be augmented by how you press the button (for example maybe there's a little fireball you can shoot by tapping B, and if you hold B, you can charge a big one or something, etc). all of this is based on the idea that there will be no menus in combat. so, while everyone else is following your point character, each of them is assigned an assist button. when you hold a character's assist button, the focus is temporarily shifted to them, and you can assign them an attack (and there'd be a shortcut for the different augmentations so you wouldn't have to physically hold the button to do a charge variation). so you have full control of your point character, and you can very quickly assign your other people to do things in sequence. the gameplay is in micromanaging on the fly, because the game doesn't pause during any of this. you have to think fast and figure out how to get your guys to individually attack and react to the enemy. every character has a musical motif, in that they have an associated instrument. the music in the game changes depending on who is on the field. you're basically piloting a marching band. the main character doesn't play an instrument, so instead, they're a conductor with a baton. they don't have combat functions. instead, their abilities control your whole party (e.g get everyone to jump, get everyone to run away to the left, etc.) this avoids having to individually switch between every character and move them over when you just want everyone to get the FUCK out of the way of an attack that's the gist of it, there's a lot more but this is what i felt like typing right now [editline]cocks[/editline] of course the thread moved 2 pages when i was typing this
