Super deep throat.
Poker Night at the Inventory
Yonder is very relaxing and comfy. It's a little shallow in terms of gameplay, but it's a very beautiful and comfy game.
Postal 2 [editline]25th September 2017[/editline] Wait do you mean games that are comfy as a game or you are comfy afterwards cuz you let loose. Comfy as a game I recommend Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.
Minecraft seriously, i can hop on to that game and grind out 3-4 podcasts in a sitting, its pretty relaxing for me
I wanna say Antichamber. It's a very fun puzzle game that has such relaxing ambience with neat little life "quotes" and it's just super chill. The environment is like impossible spaces and super minimalistic and it's really fucking good. 3:48 as a short example of the calmness if it doesn't skip ahead. And make sure you don't watch a lot cause it does spoil some puzzle solving. I would have linked just the noise but I can't seem to find it by itself, and the game is also at its best when you see all the elements together like if you were actually playing.
Dungeon keeper1,2,3 Can get them all on GOG
Dungeon Keeper is the shit, played this a lot as a kid
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2.
Elite Dangerous Especially with classic rock or Radio Skvortsov stream. http://radio.entropy101.com/ Nothing more comfy than traveling from station to station, looking at your bobbleheads moving to "Rawhide"
DOOM 2016
Night in the Woods is a very cozy video game. Also Warhammer Verminitide, but don't actually load a level and just stay at the inn.
Fallout 1/2/New Vegas, Deus Ex, XCOM, TES:Oblivion is very comfy, too.
X-COM? Comfy? That game will raise your blood pressure and give you a mild heart attack
Blitzkrieg 1, Simcity 3k/4, Civilization and maybe Startopia (if you disable all the negative events and have no competitors whatsoever in sandbox).
Railroad Tycoon 3 is my go-to laze about thrashing NPCs game.
Stellaris is quite comfy and relaxing, has a pretty nice soundtrack
Eufloria is comfy as hell
Elite Dangerous Wandering through space while listening to music playlist or podcasts is pretty comfy
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2.
Yeah, if possible, get OpenRCT2 up and running too. Sometimes I just join a server and watch experienced builders make stuff.
Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 I picked it up for cheap recently and it's a nice time waster if you want to chill out. Put on some music, maybe turn off the sounds because the cranking of the wrench is going to be annoying pretty fast
Sameless self-advertising: INFRA (Please, someone confirm this)
Minecraft with friends. Any of those Everybody's Golf games, particularly the PSP ones. Pangya is a fun alternative.
[img_thumb]https://img.fireden.net/v/image/1447/00/1447007328343.jpg[/img_thumb] haven't played all of these but this might be a good place to start. highly recommend persona 4 btw.
Euro and American Truck Simulator
I once fell asleep playing euro truck and woke up next morning with my truck upside down after running over a car. If thats not comfy idk what is
This is a pretty interesting idea tbh. I automatically think of casual games that don't have a big sense of adventure, immersion, scale, etc. Linear games are pretty comfy imo. If I'm bundled up in my computer chair with a cup of tea I don't want to play a huge game with a lot of backtracking that makes my brain hurt, so I'm not really seeing e.g. the bethesda games. I can sort of see Minecraft. The only thing about Minecraft is that if you're playing it alone it can be super lonely cause of the scale and the music and stuff. I'm surprised people mentioned Elite too, it can be pretty spooky, although when I'm on long routes I turn off the music and ship voice and put radio interviews on in the background. Hmm well I just played Gunpoint again. The game autosaves almost every move you make so it's pretty low stress, and you don't feel like you're getting sucked into this huge task that you have to tackle.
Open TTD. It uses the same engine as Rollercoaster Tycoon I think, or at least it looks a lot like it. There's something about that game I like a lot, the trains are easily the best part. Tower Unite is also a very comfy game.
Steambot Chronicles. You can be the second coming of Hitler, o a hobo, or a ladies man
Crafting in an MMORPG where the crafting system has a bit of depth(and where success isn't based on RNG) can be comfy. For an example, I spent roughly an hour or so a few weeks ago in Final Fantasy XIV making Stuffed Cabbage. Some of that was procurement of ingredients, some was actually crafting. There was no pressure, no "gotta get this done NOW", just making some for myself and extra to sell on the marketplace.

Gave a ton of new guys bronze and iron armor just to get the XP.
Cuphead
X-COM? Comfy? That game will raise your blood pressure and give you a mild heart attack
It starts out like that but as you learn the game (mainly by the game beating the shit out of you) it gets more comfortable. I'd say that Darkest Dungeon is more appropriate for that statement, i normally cruise through XCOM's rng but Darkest Dungeon takes it to the extreme imo.
