This has always confused me.
If something has high fps, wouldn't that mean it's displaying more frames in the same amount of time, causing it to move slower?
If that's the case, what makes things like .gifs move more fluid like that one?

You're mistaking high FPS with how slow motion cameras are described. If we display a video that was shot in 30 FPS, in 60 FPS, it'd be twice as fast. If we display a 60 FPS video in 60 FPS it'll be the same speed as a 30 FPS video in 30 FPS. What you're thinking of are high-speed cameras which shoot more frames in the same amount of time, so when you view the video in normal speed, you see it in slow motion.

I cant help but feel like the background is a green screen image. I think it has something to do with the lighting.
