The merge between physics and animation provided by NaturalMotion's Euphoria engine is excellent. The only thing though that constantly irks me with GTA4 is that the physics feels incredibly floaty. Like every character consists of gravity defiant helium filled tyres to create some sort of Michelin man.

This 'effect' is even more pronounced with the lack of soft body physics calculating spring/mass (shock absorption) so when the floaty ragdolls hit a wall they just magically repel away.

Still, why the fuck aren't more developers licensing Euphoria or trying to make their own alternative?
