My little pony came out with a tv show about a year ago, and now a bunch of people are now fighting over furries,ponies,or combine both and think the others are stupid. The annoying part is people post ponies everywhere and are always saying things like,"OMG ponies would be so great for TF2 characters" and "gtfo furry ponies r so gr8t and cool you suck applejack could kick your ass lolololo".....

Because the makers of the show had fun making it and not just money-wise. There's an extreme amount of fan-service and references to old shows that only older viewers would get. The animation is generally likable and voice acting is great. Being a general fan of the show is perfectly fine but when people start to obsess over it by forcing others into liking it/fanfics/fettish is where people start to hate.

a lot of things in the world may seem un usual but realistically, everything is unusual. you might do something that is fine at home but not in the internet, or in a different country.
You might think something done in Africa is unusual while the people in Africa might thing something that you do is unusual.
