I'd be a robot as long as i could keep my hair and beard.
I'm good, thanks.
YES!
Yes, so I can use my intelligence quickly to solve problems most humans could not do, find new methods of doing stuff, and attempt to slow my regression of the brain.
can i skip the whole "replacing with robot parts" and just jump straight into being an AI holographic god/goddess
I rather remain natural. I like feeling warmth, taste, and smell. The brain slowly being replaced by machine parts is also a deal breaker. I rather not unbecome myself. Whatever a robot can do I can do much better. And with the risk of death it is more impressive.
Deus ex machina
I would definitely do it, if I can't die and do not require anything, I would bring on a whole new age of space exploration.
Without hormones or those neuro-chemicals like dopamine or whatever, sounds like you'd constantly have some form of depression or something. It wouldn't exactly be the same.
sure why not
fisto is programmed to please numbness will subside in several hours
I'm already a robot though...
This is tough. Having longevity is the fucking bee's knees, but no taste/tender touch is pretty sad. However, having everyone I love die before me is just viewed as an inevitability, honestly. I mean, I'd be pretty sad when it happens, but I don't feel it'd weigh on me much. Now the whole brain death thing is a scary. At what point is the person still themselves? Not to get too out there, but when are you considered soulless? Does it still dwell in the vessel or does it depart at some part (i.e. 'brain death')? I mean, once you get to a certain point, it's no longer me, but a simulation of me, more or less. How about just make me part robot, i.e. keep the meaty bits, but augmented. Semi-Longevity included (~150 years, maybe).
