learn scales, in the long run they'll help you transcribe faster and allow you to recognize patterns in music. if you want to be good then you'll want to learn all major scales, minor scales, and blues scales for a start. Then afterwords move on to more complex ones if you want, but that's getting into some complicated stuff.
