it feels like mgs dark souls
I feel bad killing people in MGS. Like, I could gun them down, but why kill people needlessly when you have non-lethal tranquilizing weapons?
more importantly
the guns are loud

It's not hard to get suppressors for them, and in MGS4 you can just straight up buy a bunch of them from Drebin.
is the Mk22's silencer in MGS3 one of those that wear out quickly?

Kinda crazy quick, I don't think silencers wear out that fast in real life, but in MGS3 you use a few magazines and it breaks.

How dare a game make me feel emotionally conflicted by killing in a series that makes a large point of how soldiers are human no matter who they fight for
damn it nooo D:
I never actually ran out of Mk22 silencers, they're pretty plentiful.
Just don't be too trigger-happy, and make your shots count.
"im afraid to take an NPCs life."
if that npc was your sister you wouldn't take her life
[editline]17th August 2015[/editline]
but i'd take her from behind HEH

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was the first game (apart from Super Nintendo stuff) that I played and played tons of, and only recently did I realize how much that game must have shaped my taste in music, and I've never really thought about wether I liked its music as a kid or not but now years later, I realize that I'm aspiring to make music just like the stuff that is in Jazz Jackrabbit.

I've played the game probably 20, 30 times in my life, I love it so much. Everything about it is pretty perfect for me and it's part of why I love rabbits so much too.

When I was young I wanted to name a pet rabbit Jazz, even :v:

He's a pretty nice guy and we set up a few goals for myself.
When I told him I want to move to Sweden he said that it's a cool place and added that to the list of goals.
I feel better now

Even though the Protoss were my favourite I still think this is my favourite race theme. Man what happened to StarCraft anyway, I miss the total bleakness of 1, the characters, betrayals and lore just got thrown out the window in 2 for "The prophecy!!!"

Holy crap that's why I love rabbits and guinea pigs so much too, everything makes so much sense now
Wow we won't get a break from this shit, apparently it's likely that the pollution in China from that explosion the other day might get to Japan. Like we didn't have enough of their pollution flying over here already.
Worked a full day in retail today compared to the usual day of shipping and boxes. Gotta say the day went by faster than before and didn't feel like it dragged on, considering it was a 10 hour shift.
Yup Starcraft 2 was great, but kinda fucked up the story so badly it just got really unoriginal and cheesy, not to say that I didn't enjoy it, I'm just hoping the protoss expansion is good and doesn't fuck it all up by being even cheesier and having a terrible ending or so.
just killed a metrocops in gmod, im a genocidal maniac....
Do you have no sense of context or what
I don't know if you've ever played it, but MGS is a series that makes it a point that no matter who they're fighting for, soldiers are still human beings with lives and names and families. It's not absurd or silly to expect people to have emotional response to killing people in a game that makes a point like that and you're being incredibly condescending and rude by making fun of me for it.
I have a love/hate relationship with lethal and non-lethal options in games that aren't rpgs. Usually based on if the game gives you a "bad" ending for killing people, especially when the game gives you tons of cool lethal options and an okay to meh amount of non-lethal, that are usually just stealth, invisibility and knockouts.
man why is everyone so caught up on calling games easy
it's just a way for people to offhandedly be elitist and it's weird
Metal Gear feels like the only series I played where it doesn't feel like that, mainly because both options are more equally fleshed out and doesn't give you a token "bad" ending for being lethal.
I like it when games can make me feel conflicted about the fate of NPCs
rinfect is just being a big baby
chicken is p best in nuclear throne
i feel like playing splinter cell now

Dishonored was the worst offender of this, 2 things for non lethal, choking someone and darting them. Also gives you the bad ending for killing people too

The term "dumbed down" is a term I'm starting to hate more and more since most people say it whenever a sequel or update add quality of life changes that are for the better.

And they also give you tons (way more even) lethal gear, too, so if you don't want Dunwall to go to shit you have to willingly ignore all this awesome stuff.
