Metal Gear feels like the only series I played where it doesn't feel like that, mainly because both options are more equally fleshed out and doesn't give you a token "bad" ending for being lethal.
[sp]All the bosses die plot wise even if you take them out non lethally though, minus those who escapes or something in the story.[/sp]
If I don't get a color scanner for my birthday I'm gonna be disappointed. Nobody wants to see my art rendered through a crappy cell phone camera.
The term "dumbed down" is a term I'm starting to hate more and more since most people say it whenever a sequel or update add quality of life changes that are for the better.
i feel this so much when will people stop getting mad at everything and just enjoy shit and try to have fun
just killed a metrocops in gmod, im a genocidal maniac....
You know this is kinda the same thing as feeling bad when [sp]boromir dies [/sp]in lotr when not feeling bad when random Gondor soldiers die defending Minas Tirith, it's all fiction but it's the same reason why you'd feel worse if your best friend died than hearing about somebody you've never known die in a war-torn part of the world. It's just psychological phenomenon. i'm killing people in MGSV that aren't useful for my army just because it fits the plot [editline]qwefe[/editline] mgs is actually the only stealth series where i interact with guards at all because it's a lot more fun in that series than most. thief or splinter cell? f that i'm just gonna be as close to a literal ghost as possible
[sp]Dishonored was the worst offender of this, 2 things for non lethal, choking someone and darting them. Also gives you the bad ending for killing people too[/sp]
[sp]Last Light did something similar too, where you got karma points for not killing people. If you didn't get enough you get the "bad" ending.[/sp] Last Light also added more lethal weapon variety from 2033 while non-lethal got boring stealth and choking.
If I don't get a color scanner for my birthday I'm gonna be disappointed. Nobody wants to see my art rendered through a crappy cell phone camera.
u wanna borrow mine
I think im just gonna use rubber bullets for the whole game. Also apparently ive never played MGS??
rubber bullets are neat but they seem too easy like what's the point of going lethal now if you can just as easily use a gun that functions the exact same way?
I think im just gonna use rubber bullets for the whole game. Also apparently ive never played MGS??
join the club me neither also ive never played a jrpg

Guys I'm curious, do you like wheat beer? And also what's your favourite alcoholic drink? I've always been meh about alcoholic drinks and just liked some because they taste less of alcohol and because they get me drunk, but I've recently discovered that I absolutely fucking love wheat beer, so that's why I'm asking.
I haven't actually heard the term dumbed down being used in reference to an improvement in something, atleast not that I can think of.
An example from what I've seen is from a game I play regularly, where they added visible timers to objectives that respawn all at different times. Which brought in the people going "just get good at keeping track of the timers in your head!" even though there are over 10 different objectives that all have varied timers in a game that had tons of others things going on as well.

if i was of drinking age i'd probably only be able to drink kahlua or anything involving cola
if i was of drinking age i'd probably only be able to drink kahlua or anything involving cola
Pina Coladas, Vodka+Sprite+Orange Juice or Rum+Coke is probably your thing then. And by that I mean don't drink, alcohol is bad for you.
If I was still into drinking alcohol it would be Vodka with Orange Juice or Cola. I'm not joking about the cola part.
Rum and coke/vodka and coke is great though. Unless you mean alcoholic cola (Is that even a thing?)

the thing with non lethality play troughs in metro is that the human enemies in the metro series are Communists, neo Nazis and bandits who aren't very nice people. but if you kill them you get the bad karma, kinda a shame because the games are good, but you can't play the games the way you want to unless you want the evil endings.
god im such a bad influence

mommy the scary man is telling me to drink
