which is not to say by the way that don't get me gifts (shit that's the only way I can afford to play vidya games) but just know that you're going to be sending me on an anxiety tornado for a little bit even if I do come out on the other end appreciating it
For myself it feels like they're wasting money on me. If it's a game there's 40 dollars they just spent on me that I feel extremely anxious about because omg what if I don't like it and I just wasted their money and what if we stop being friends and then I feel horrible about them spending money on me like I used them for a gift or something and blefbrlgblrbg if it's a restaurant I'm being taken to the fact that there's different prices and often you want more than one thing it makes me extremely anxious with each item because like what if they need the money and I'm costing them too much and they didn't mean to spend THAT much on me and I don't want to seem like I'm taking advantage of them or anything and elfbrlgbegbl
I find that not wanting to accept gifts is more of a pride issue for myself.
its like, my brain thinks that if i hadnt just bought the game, i wouldve been given it instead, which makes no sense at all
I still don't understand, which is a good sign that you should stop worrying about this.
i need more posts
You don't need more posts. You earn them by having something worth contributing. Actually, I more highly respect those who really make their posts count.
-fuuuck-
I have no recollection buying this shirt of my favorite art collective but it just came in the mail. Guess it was like a surprise gift to myself.

It's not only useful but also common courtesy to upload images and then link them instead of hotlinking them.
Somebody tell me if this idea's good or not: I draw pictures on paper, then once I get a scanner, I'll copy them onto my Lappy and vectorize them in color and whatnot. Would that be a reasonable thing to accomplish?
That's an incredibly common thing for digital artists to do, and since it's worked for so many people, I would have no qualms with doing this.
Really? I didn't know that. Guess I'll have to cross my fingers 'til they break for that scanner then.
When I say iffy I mean like its rarely iffy. Most of the time I do it the picture turns out virtually identical to the hand drawn version.
uptown gonna give it to ya

Quality over quantity?
When I say iffy
[t]http://www.theanimegallery.com/data/thumbs/790px/0125/tAG_125903.jpg[/t]
I think ultimately tho you should just get a graphics tablet and do it all digitally tbh [editline]18th August 2015[/editline] I'd get that over a scanner
Holy shit they're pricey. There's no way I could afford one unless somebody loaned a tablet to me. And to be perfectly honest, I'm more competent on the computer drawing with a mouse instead of a stylus.
I'm still fucking sick ugh

Got confused earlier because I thought you were referring to those big touchscreen drawing tablets. Well in that case I do have a Wacom Bamboo at home, but something about using it feels off. It's like I'm drawing on paper, but whatever's coming out of the pencil is showing up several inches away from me. Ever used an uncalibrated PDA or Nintendo DS? It's just like that.

anyone know how to clear up congestion?
Stop believing in what your mother raised you to think, stop believing in what the church and the school made you believe. Stop believing in yourself, stop holding values! Turn off your mind, it doesn't matter any way, it's all gone in the end. Float down the stream, let the river take you away and embrace the unknown, the unforseen without a thought towards how it might hurt or help you. Never do what other people tell you and only learn from what hurts and one day you might be wise enough to realize that we live in a world with no rules, no systems, but a hell lot of consequences! Spend your life away like a fortune! Live life, die as a young tragedy, or as a dumb old fart. But never die, not soon, not late, without at least trying a cheeseburger.
Is the driver up to date?
Yes. I must've worded that wrong. What I'm trying to say is that it feels disorienting drawing with a tablet when I can't exactly see what I'm drawing right in front of me. I try to get used to watching the computer draw for me but I just can't do it. That's why I prefer mouse because I know exactly where the cursor's going and what it's going to do next. You dig?

I wouldn't give up on the tablet yet if I were you.
There's also the Wacom Cintiq but you'd need lots of cash money. :v:
Showers. Hot and spicy food. Wrap yourself up and sweat it out.
I'll try a shower when I'm done eating my soup :v: I feel a little bit chilly or something, but it's barely noticeable
